Homewood Suites by Hilton North Dallas-Plano

The bathroom floor was nasty and on the floor boards were dirty. kids where playing and knocking on doors and running up and down the hall way

It was a great price, but run down. Our room had a broken cabinet. They were out of pillows, we had the 2 on our bed and my kids couldnt get one for the sofa bed. The staff was friendly.

I booked 2 suites for 4 nights and could not get anyone to service our rooms. We had kitchen trash, pizza boxes etc that we had to find a place outside to throw away. I stopped a housekeeper and asked if our rooms could be serviced and the trash removed and she indicated she did not understand me “no habla English”. I went downstairs and asked for our rooms to be serviced and we came back and the beds had been halfway made with pillows not even put on the bed. I thought someone had pulled the blankets down and then laid back down and wrinkled them up. We had actually removed the linens because our toddler had spilled their bottle and the same sheet was placed back on the bed. We have been Hilton Honors members for over a decade. Honestly I’ve never seen this company do so poorly at customer service. Super disappointed for a trip planned for 6 months.

When we were not in the room.. somehow Celing fan came down, when called front desk they said Maintenance guy has left for the day which we did not like it. I had my 4 kids and it was not safe to stay like that. Front desk offered me a room which is all the way in the corner and Elevator was not working. It was hard to walk other side of elevator that is why I continued in same room and myself disconnected the fan from the wires and kept it in closet.

We stayed in a suite which was a great option to have additional space. We got to the hotel really late. I checked in and got the room keys which ended up not working. I went back down to the front desk and got new reprogrammed keys which also did not work. I called the front desk and the employee brought new keys and a master key. Again, the programmed keys did not work but the master key did. Overall not a big deal but kind of inconvenient at 1am after a long drive. Overall the room was really unclean. The bathroom was probably the worst. There were a bunch of dead ants on the floor under the toilet which was kind of gross but glad they were dead. The rest of the room overall was run down and not very clean. We had a short amount of time there so we made the best of it. Had we checked in at 3pm and been hanging out there all day we would have probably found somewhere else to stay. Also in the middle of the night a little kid started crying. It was so loud I thought it was coming from in our room. It finally stopped and a little while later we got a call from the front desk asking if we were missing a kid. I guess a little guy got out of their room and was wandering the halls crying. In this case thin walls were great but normally not a plus:)

Booked 2 bedroom suite, there was a leak in room, upon arrival, they offered room or connecting rooms , “with no extra charge” - as I’d it was my choice not to have my family all in one room. “No extra charge” was not a bonus like they made it seem! Ice machine broke for hotel- ice maker in freezer also didn’t work

The room was not very clean. Closet door coming off the latch so it swung. We have a 13 month old baby who kept trying to play with it. Seemed dangerous. Beds were hard. Needs a lot of work. Not like other Homewood suites I’ve stayed in.

Had a great stay, family friendly, great breakfast and parking was available No complaints and will definitely stay again

First time using a two bedroom suite. Worked great for our family trip. Will use again in the future. Loved the spacious rooms.

Bed was comfortable and room was cool. Having ice machine in fridge was cool (pun intended). Love having coffee in the lobby and free breakfast was nice. But A/C was working well in lobby so it was not comfortable. I stayed 3 nights and didn’t realize I needed to request maid service so missed out on that and I like my bed made daily. Hotel seems a little fun down. My kitchen sink was clogged, gross stains in bath tub and no soap at all in the room. I wanted to shower so I called front desk and he said he’d run soap right up. Waited 5 minutes and decided to go to lobby and Chris handed me a few bars. There’s long term guests (families) there which isn’t the best look for business travelers like myself. My colleagues stayed at the Marriott Legacy West and for the same price had a beautiful hotel, with a super cooled lobby (and bar). Although my room was larger there’s no comparison to how the properties were kept. Homewood 2 stars and Marriott 4.
