My Place Hotel - Lubbock, TX

When I walked in, i noticed it was smaller than I expected. The staff was nice. However, when I got to my room I found 3 live baby cockroaches crawling in my shower. I called downstairs to have them handle the situation, I was told “I am checking in another customer, I’ll call you back”..:that was annoying. They called and asked me to come down and they would change my rooms. I went down and they tried to put me in the room above the one I was in…I said no, cuz I’m not waking with roaches. The rooms and hallways have a musty smell, not bad but something smells off. Also, the bed is not very comfortable. I had a queen and the bed wasn’t comfy and anytime you move it would squeak.

The person who checked me in gave us a very smelly room. In fact, I noticed the window was cracked open even though the air was on. A red flag. There was something questionable rotting in the refrigerator. The phone didnt work. Discovered a dead baby toach on the key pad. My husband went down in person to ask to be moved. She said she "thought" she noticed a smell in that room earlier. We then were able to move across the hall. Why weren't we given that room initially? The room smelled fine. However. In the middle of night I saw 2 roaches in bathroom.

Felt clean and safe for a one night stay and the front desk was helpful when we had a middle of the night situation with our kid. The tv didn’t work and the room was hot even with the ac turned down but other than that it was fine.

The beds are so comfortable and it was very quiet. Slept like a baby.

Good experience, a bit loud at night with the usual slamming doors and running children. But overall great price for this hotel.

My family and I stayed for Thanksgiving week and for our surprise the room was superficially clean. I found dirty clothing from a previous guest that had stayed before us. Rooms are not sanitized as said. Deep cleaning is needed and housekeeping needs to check room is clan, during our stay beds were never made either

EXTREMELY friendly staff. Had 1 very small hiccup when i first arrived that was taken care of immediately. I travel for work and the staff made me feel like family when they greeted me every morning when i returned from work, asking me shift went. Highly recommended this hotel. Bed was comfortable and hotel is very clean & quiet. Parking is easy also (considering I drive a large 4x4).

I stood at the counter and waited to be helped while an employee was on a personal call. When i yelled hello she went and got someone else to help me. The book in process took forever. Finally get to my room and go to give my baby a bath only to see the tub has hair that isn't mine, old soap stuck to it, and hair ties in it.

In town for a gathering, visited to long and the weather was worsening. Looking for inexpensive and not plush. I knew this place was brand new so thought I would take a chance. The check in was smooth. The foyer and hallways looked clean and tidy. The room was roomy enough for 3 and a toddler. It is very no frills but we were just looking for a bed for the night. The towels were fluffy. The pillows were nice. The bed was comfortable. The only negative for me was the only ice available was from the refrigerator in the room, which you had to turn on and wait to make. A plus...Sonic Drive-in is only a mile away!
