Hotel ZaZa Houston Memorial City

Overall my family really enjoyed our stay at Hotel ZaZa - the atmosphere was very relaxed and all the staff from valet staff to front desk were extremely attentive and friendly. The food at the main restaurant was very delicious with great presentation. The only downside was the limited pool hours only opening at 11a and closes by 7p so my kids were not able to swim.

My wife and I were traveling with our three kids, so we have a lot of stuff. From the beginning, we never got any help unloading the truck, but plenty of dirty looks while it was taking so long. We tried the pool out during our first afternoon, and it is very small (looks much bigger in pictures). So, obviously, three kids in small pool isn’t great for other guests. Nobody would serve us drinks at the pool either. I went into the bar, which really isn’t the kind of place to wear swim trunks and was quickly shuffled out. They told me someone would come out, but they never did. Finally, on the second day, as I was driving back into the drop off area, one of the valets zoomed out of the garage almost hitting us with someone else’s car. I honked, not realizing it was our hotel’s valet, so then the guy wouldn’t come out of his little booth to take our keys. I finally got someone else to do it, but felt pretty uncomfortable. I guess you just can’t have nice things with small kids, but I really didn’t think that we were all that misbehaved. The hotel itself is nice, but not THAT nice.

Had a quick baby sprinkle getaway and stayed at Zaza. I arrived at 11:30 AM and was allowed to check in (great start to my stay). The room was beautiful, clean, and HUGE! Spent time at the pool and ordered room service. They staff I encountered were lovely. 💯 recommend.
