Hampton Inn & Suites Houston-Bush Intercontinental Aprt

I am completely understanding that a hurricane had just come through (im from south texas) but still there were lots of rhose tiny food roaches, the pool area was completely unlocked. At one point children were in the pool area without an adult. Not safe at all!! The condition of the hotel seemed poorly maintained, even outside of just experiencing a big storm. Inwill now be spraying my luggage for roaches before bringing in my home. Disappointing

Place was absolutely great. Very close to IAH. Ideal after very long flights (16 hours on just one!). Fast food next door. Clean. Friendly customer service.Aaron was great. Breakfast was very good, (eggs, potato). Sausage as well, due to dietary religion restrictions, I skipped. Good for little kids. The cons - HUGE airplane noise. I slept thru it. Parking is for a fee. Place is pricey compared to others, but worth it.

The power went out and the system was down. I called customer service to try and get transferred to a hotel and they said they couldn’t help me. We also asked the front desk if someone from housekeeping could come up when we did have power and they said they only service the room every other day. Which if you have children that’s kind of ridiculous. No one wants trash in there room just piling up.

The room and service were fine, about what one would expect with this type and level of airport hotel. We stayed here on a brief layover so that we could arrive well rested at our destination. My issue was a completely out of control family next door to us. I have never in my life knocked on another hotel room but it was outrageous and 3 am. The parent response was “they are just kids” and old enough to be told to stop screaming and banging, in my opinion. Unfortunately from my experience this exposed a lack of sound proofing of rooms and also a lack of staff about respond to a bad situation (again, I don’t blame the staff, but maybe a hotel policy of not putting up with hooligans and some training on how to manage that would be good). So, after repeated requests to the parent to have the children not scream and crash into our wall the mother took them downstairs just in time for our early morning departure. The kids continued to wreak havoc in the breakfast area, in full view of the desk, leaping with shoes in from table to table. It would have been nice if the desk person would have said something to deter this behaviour but I get it if they feel it’s not their job. It would also be nice if parents would respect other guest but it seems some feel it’s not their job. So experience at this hotel was I would have preferred to save my money and sleep on th floor in the airport, but I’m sure it won’t be the same for the next traveller. Unless that family is a regular 😉

The stay was nice, but there is a smell inside the hotel when you first enter. Also there were no towels for the pool area, so you have to either bring your own or run back inside wet. The parking is not free, so when you get there you will be charged a $10 parking fee for every vehicle. The rooms didn’t have microwaves, which was a downfall. Other than that my family & I enjoyed ourselves.

Hotel was good. Only problem we faced were the elevators. Both were broken. We stayed on 4th floor and had to bring all of the luggage down 4 flights of stairs for 3 different families.

Fantastic for the price. I am picky. Stayed here with my family before a cruise. I will stay again!!

Staff was friendly, room was clean, pool was not the best but kids enjoyed it, and overall just a pleasant stay. No issues.

Airport pick up left me and my family stranded at the airport after pre-paying for airport shuttle delivery and pickup

First the hotel is a very nice hotel & very clean. I was charged for my stay the morning on my visit, prior to my check in. I contacted the hotel & the receptionist at the time informed me that it's corporate policy to be sure the guest card are valid. Per the host I am being charged & it is written in the policy so maybe I didn’t read. The host had a bit so great attitude. Once I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that there would be a $100 deposit. Per the policy it states $50 & not $50 per night. I asked my family members were they charged prior to their arrival & no one else was charged but me. Not sure whose corporate office the host was referring to as no one else in my family was charged prior to their arrival.
