SpringHill Suites by Marriott McAllen Convention Center

It was amazing. I enjoyed my stay with family and the pool was fun. The staff was nice.

The worst experience ever. I've arrived at 7 PM to check-in and the front desk lady literally told me... I'm so sorry but you cannot check in because we don't have electricity as a result of rain (altough other hotels were capable of having electricity since they have power generators that prevent this to happen). The front desk lady offered me a refund, but I declined it since I didn't have an option of staying at that time of the night and everything nearby the city was completely booked. After rude words from that lady (who literally said to me to sleep on the parking lot with my family while laughing), I requested to speak with her manager, who offered me a lower quality room, without A/C and a broken TV in a partner hotel. I didn't have any other option to take it, but asked for a refund of the corresponding amount that was already paid (which they never refunded me, as of today) I lost time, money and was offended while doing this small trip with my family. I will never stay in this hotel chain again.

Second time here. Didn't disappoint. A good choice if the price is similar than other family hotels.

Upon checking in counter personnel was very pleasant. Room was very spacious. I had hoped for a larger selection of "forgotten items" i.e, band aids, children's and adult medicine. Very pleasant stay.

The facility was clean. Pool was nice. Workout room had what we needed. Plenty to eat and shop nearby. Breakfast was basic but satisfying (waffles, eggs, bacon or sausage, breads, cereal, yogurt, and juices). My only real complaint is that the walls were thin. In the future I would ask not to stay in a room next to a family with small children.

Very convenient amenities for families for price. Sliding door to the bathroom was not aligned. There was a peep crack due to the crooked door and it didn't latch. Not good for the price point of this hotel. Doors were noticeably dirty from previous dirty little hands. The separate bathroom and restroom with extra sink is ideal for families sharing the double-room. Really liked this setting. The check-in staff was very informative and greeted very well. Smooth check-in and out. The complimentary breakfast included eggs, bacon, breads, assorted fruit and beverages. I would definitely recommend others here and I would return.
