Hampton Inn & Suites Gainesville

Good service, good breakfast comfty! Only thing was that only one roll of toilet paper was in the room. With kids that finished quick…

I arrived and the room was ready and that’s where it ended. The website and reservation option said the room slept 5. 2 queen beds (4) and supposedly another option… This was not the case. I have twins a boy and a girl 13. My son is 6’2” the 4 of us had to share queen sized bed as did my twins…it was a long night to say the least. We were banking on a pull out bed or third option. The lady at the desk did nothing except tell us that it would sleep 5 if one was like a baby. All she did was ask if we still wanted the room at 1am…I was not happy to say the least!

I have spent years at the highest Platinum level and only stay in Hilton Property’s now that I’m retired and travel for family and fun only. This was the lowest quality Hampton I have ever stayed in. It was clean, but very old and tired. Pillows were horrible . Why take a Credit Card deposit for “incidentals” when there is no bar or restaurant or room service ?

The hall carpet seemed very dirty and worn out. We were on the 4th floor. There was a baby lizard running around the hallway.

Once coming into the hotel, our lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We headed up to our room and once we came into the room, there was someone already in that room! Which was a extremely scary situation. Thank goodness we didnt see the man that was in our room. He said Hello? And all i had seen was a pair of jeans on the floor. I apologized and me and my wife left the room. Went back to the lobby and we explained to the lady at the front desk what had happened, she was very apologetic. She did let us know that she was new to this position and called her manager. Which she did say there was no availability, but But, her manager told her to up grade our room to a junior suite. Which was very nice and we enjoyed the upgrade. We visit Gainesville,Tx alot because we enjoy the casinos. But we have never experienced this situation ever, which was very disturbing to us!

Our room was hot. AC repair man said the unit needed replacing. Brought us fans. This did not help. Pool was not open due to a missing part. My family was very disappointed.

Noisy kids in room above made it hard to sleep. Not property issues. I recommend it

Very frustrated. Did not have hot water on the 4th floor for several days and was told it was because the water had to travel to the 4th floor. Finally was given a new room on the 2nd floor and had hot water for the last 2 nights of our stay. The new room had issues because the tv was messed up which makes entertaining the kids difficult.
