The hotel itself was nice and the room was great. The staff was friendly but would not speak unless spoken too. The hotel was a little difficult to navigate on the first day and we checked in late at night so there was no help unless we found someone to ask. The area is sketchy! We traveled with 3 young kids and we were on constant high alert. Crack heads, homeless crackheads, domestic issues in plain site, and no security or police presence. The public parking that we had to use wasn’t secure and not monitored other than the day of check out when we found one lady watching the lot during the day but she was buried in her phone and highly doubt she would have noticed anything. The gas stations in the area have security (for good reason) but overall, not a safe area for travelers or people traveling with kids. Being downtown comes with its quirks and the constant noise was one of them. Every 5-10 minutes you’ll hear and see EMS vehicles flying down the road and it gets more prevalent during the late night hours into the early morning. People drive like lunatics down there because the streets were not made to handle the traffic. One thing that could have been vastly different is not allowing loitering. Every time we stepped out of the hotel, it appeared someone who wasn’t a guest would be loitering around to ask hotel guest for money, cigarettes, etc which did happen a couple times while we were outside with our children. Overall not a bad stay but I would choose somewhere else

Everything was spot on. My only complaint was the lack of parking. We had a 3 month old infant traveling with us so we used valet which is an additional $50 plus tips. The hotel itself is excellent!

Hotel is downtown. There were no luggage carts. The lady who checked us in told us there was nothing she could do. She said we would just have to wait even if it was hours or just take our bags up without one. I had two small children, my wife and a dog. So not very easy to take a few bags up at once. Showed up at 5 p.m., check in was for 3 p.m. No rooms were ready for us. She gave me attitude and tolled here eyes when i expressed my frustration. Went floor by floor to find luggage carts. There were several not returned. Someone from housekeeping said the lady at front desk only needed to radio them and they would of gladly brought one down.

The hotel was fine. The staff was great. The free breakfast was good; however, it ended early (9am weekday, 9:30 weekend) for family (probably fine for work folks). The elevators kept messing up and the keys kept deactivating. I realize we are downtown but the parking was horrible too. Valet parking cost was very steep. To park in the garage each night was $45 which to me is price gouging. Other than those things, everything was fine. I'm sure it's comparable to other hotels in the area. Oh and we enjoyed the pool, too.
