The only reason I’m giving one star, at all, is because one employee (David) DID make an effort to improve my stay and I appreciate that. It unfortunately did not make up for how terrible my experience was. I was greeted INCREDIBLY COLDLY by an awful girl with long brown hair (can’t remember her name) who has zero qualities to be the face of the hotel…unless the idea is to preface how awful your stay will be. I was, quite literally, woken up to a cockroach crawling across my hand IN THE HOTEL BED. When I was moved to a different room on a different floor, there was ANOTHER cockroach saying hello to me on the bathroom floor in the morning. The air conditioning is controlled by motion sensors. Meaning, if you are not actively moving every ten minutes in the bedroom, the AC shuts off. You can imagine how AWFUL this was on a 102 degree day in Dallas and trying to sleep through the night having to wake up in the night to continuously flail my arms around. I ordered a Texas Chili and Cornbread to my room, but they do not provide room service…so I had to get dressed and take my toddler downstairs to pick it up. Not the worst thing in the world…except they completely left out the cornbread (you know, half of the title) and I was honestly so fed up and exhausted at that point, I just threw everything away. The valet area as a whole needs serious improvement…it takes at least 10 minutes to drop off your car and between 10-20 to retrieve it. Out of characters, stay elsewhere.

I do my fair share of traveling and this by far has been the worst experience with a hotel. Spent over $400 on this booking and had a last minute family emergency. I did my due diligence and called 24 hours in advance to cancel and request a refund. They flat out just said “no, we can cancel your reservation but you will not be getting a refund”. So beware of that people…

Our room was nice and convenient for visiting with our family members who had come to help us at hospital and the restaurant was very nice for breakfast for our 8 family members. It was about 10 minutes away from Baylor Hospital

Honestly this is a great hotel but Expedia is using misleading advertising. We booked the Junior King Suite. It is ONE room and does not have a separate living space with table as shown. The great employee at check in said that is a photo of the King Suite, not the junior king suite. Hilton’s site shows the correct photos. I contacted Expedia and they were unwilling to correct the error. The front desk reported this is a common problem with their Expedia listing and they would have placed us in the room pictured if they could to make up for it but they are fully booked tonight. We would never have booked this room because we were specifically looking for a separate room.

It was disappointing and a waste of money for a one night trip to the city. The restaurant closed earlier than posted and was turning people away during posted business hours, I was declined a roll away bed in our room, the temperature was up and down all night long. Couldn't get a consistent comfortable temperature. The cleaning person knocked on the door at 9 a.m. in the morning and woke up my kids, although checkout isn't until much later. The valet took almost 40 minutes to retrieve my vehicle. The breakfast ordered from room service through the restaurant was cold, greasy, and didn't include condiments/salt/pepper.
