Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cuero, an IHG Hotel

Had a good stay, had some extra requests of staff to which they cheerfully responded, My only issue with the stay was hallway noise into the room. A lot of young kids there just being kids ( which is fine ) but too much of their enthusiasm was heard in the rooms.

The pool was dirty. The property had trash all around it. We found a dirty sock in our room that wasn’t ours. My daughter was meant to sleep on the pull out sofa (family of 5) and she was told that they didn’t have any sheets for it. They gave her 2 comforters, one with a big hole in it. The front desk worker was awesome and so nice, even though the rest of the stay wasn’t great. The room itself was mostly clean and my family said the breakfast was decent. I wouldn’t stay here again, but it wasn’t the worst place I’ve stayed either.

We stayed at this hotel because our boys had a baseball tournament weekend in Cuero, TX. So the team all stayed here. I had booked 2 rooms for our family weeks before, like as soon as we knew we were signed up. Upon checking in we find out one room is upstairs the second is downstairs not together not even on the same floor. That was the first disappointment. Our view was a wooden fence, second and more disappointments. Phone’s & tv didn’t even work in the room. We had to go to the Lobby to watch our pay-per-view boxing match that many men who were drinking and didn’t even know got to view for free. We noticed a bad smell so we had to ask the clerk to remove the trash because it stunk where we were sitting. Breakfast wasn’t what it used to be. It lacked of closed pastries, it was unsanitary. Coffee was cold. No waffles or pancakes. It was sad. I only grabbed a piece of fruit to go. We bought breakfast elsewhere. Parking lot was full of vultures pecking in the trash bin and sitting on a couple of cars that looked like they had been in an accident and had been parked there for sometime. The only positive thing was the bed was comfortable.

Checked us into a dirty room first. Loud children running up and down the second floor hollering. Foul Odor on first floor by the elevators smelled like poop sewage.
