Avid Hotels Round Rock South, an IHG Hotel

My kids and I traveled to Austin from Houston. Due to power outage in Houston due to hurricane Beryl. Pulling into the parking lot I saw a lot of men hanging outside. One was even using the restroom behind a bush! Traveling with my children I did not want them to witness that.

This was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve been in ever. Nothing fancy but everything you need. I will tell my family and friends, and will definitely stay again.

This place was amazing. I would stay here 100x. For the price, this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed out. I would recommend this to all of my friends and families. Everyone was so friendly and someone was constantly cleaning. They definitely valued their workplace.

One step up from Motel 6. Outside our ground floor room was a family with a grill playing loud music that even our a/c unit couldn’t mask. This is a new facility and reviews were good so we did not expect to see tailgating outside our window. The barking dog in the room next door concerned us as well but it was quiet after a while and after alerting front desk of the party going on outside that was silenced too. No coffee pots or hair dryers in rooms. Bare bones decor, no closet or dresser. Small rooms. Very clean. Nice lounge area. Coffee horrible today hope it’s better tomorrow or I may have to walk over to the gas station across the parking lot for better coffee.
