avid hotel Austin – Tech Ridge, an IHG Hotel

It all started wrong with a problem at check In (but this I was told was a problem with a hotels.com) then when we got to the room it was just mediocre. The shower had a part in it that was broken, and the tv didn’t work properly. I specifically booked here because the info on it said smarttv so I was thinking I could cast my phone onto the screen (which I’ve done at other hotels and worked just fine) but here that was not the case. I asked front desk about it and that wasn’t any help/didn’t give us any answers. The available channels was very minimal and so my child was not entertained at all. I’m still Waiting to see if I was double charged due to the issue at check in. Overall, there’s better hotels in the same price range- stay somewhere else instead.

Great all-around! Went there back when they very first opened and this stay was much improved. No real complaints. The only issue that arose was when the fire alarm went off for 30 seconds at 5:50am, but there is no telling if it was a random kid or what, so I can’t fault them for it. Nice room, comfy bed, bathroom as clean as can be expected.
