Hyatt Place Memphis/Wolfchase Galleria

I want to start out by saying that this is very beautiful, well maintained property. We booked and prepaid a one night stay while trying to evacuate from the Florida panhandle during our vacation. We’ve driven this route home dozens of times but never under a state of emergency and mandatory evacuations. It became clear early on that what should’ve been an 8-10 hour drive was going to significantly longer and that we would be arriving at the hotel later than expected. I spoke to hotels.com and the property staff multiple times throughout the night to ensure that the room would not be cancelled because of a super late arrival. We stayed in constant communication with the hotel staff as arrival times changed dramatically as more and more routes were closed, rerouted, and evacuation traffic significantly increased. My last contact to the hotel was to inform them that our arrival would be after 3 am but we were coming and was assured the room would not get cancelled. When we arrived at 4am with a road weary toddler in tow and 18 hours drive time logged, the room had been cancelled and informed that in order to stay, we would have to pay for another room. After a lengthy and uncomfortable conversation, we did get checked in but this only added to an already rough day, and the hotel could’ve done more to help.

We had multiple families come in from all over the country for a celebration and everyone enjoyed their time. Front desk was always very accomodating and friendly to our group and handled our small get togethers each night in the lobby amazingly well. We had a great stay, thank you all.

This is my 2nd stay at this location. It’s near plenty of shopping. The breakfast is good and included with your stay. They even had oat milk and some vegetarian options for breakfast fresh fruit etc. and cheese. The rooms are spacious. The staff is nice. I wish there was a microwave in the room but there was one downstairs so I was able to reheat some leftover pizza for the kids. The pool is outdoor so it’s seasonal. There is a fitness room. Would highly recommend.

This is one of our top places to stay when visiting family. The complimentary breakfast is always good and the staff are very friendly.

Stopped here for one night with the family. Great location near shops and restaurants, right off the hwy. the breakfast was great, enough options to eat and head back on the road (saved me a stop and money)

The room was great for the family of 6. Plenty of space. Would have liked breakfast to go a little later, when we got there at 9 am it was close.

Excellent service at check in. Room was perfectly cool when we arrived asa/c was already set. Slept like a baby. Clean, comfortable stay! Thanks!

My stay was amazing. They greeting when I arrived on Friday was very uplifting the staff at the front desk was very knowledgeable, social engage with me and my family in the best way. Thank you.
