Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Kodak East - Sevierville, an IHG Hotel

2.5 hours from home and they didn’t keep my reservations so had to drive home on the 4th of July with 4 kids, 2 being toddlers because all of the hotels were booked

This was a wonderful stay for our family! The room was very clean. There were nice cookies laid out When we walked in. The breakfast was excellent. Included hot items such as omelets, biscuits and gravy Sausage, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful.

I was traveling 2 days before Christmas and needed to stop for the night with my kids. I got a Suite online for 200 bucks. I got to the room and it is NOT a suite. It is a large single room with 2 beds and a pull out couch. This is NOT A SUITE! A suite has a door between the beds and living space. I ask the heavy set male at the front desk and he did not care at all. He said that a single room is what Holiday Inn calls a "SUITE". He knows it is false advertizing. He did not apologise or offer any solution option. He just blamed ME and Travelocity. I will not return to Holiday Inn because they are liers. Sincerely, Kevin

Amazing place for my family of 6! We had to go to a school event so we needed a place to stay. It ended up being a mini vacation since we could swim in their pool and just relax after the football game. Would definitely go again!

When I booked this location I caught myself wondering if this was a good choice because it was a Holiday Inn and remember experiences of Holiday Inn as a kid. Was I ever pleasantly surprised by how Holiday Inn can run with the big dogs. I normally only stay at Marriott, Embassy Suites, Hilton and Hyatt properties so my expectations are pretty high. Well these guys come very close to the other big name properties. The amenities was great. The property was tastefully decorated and equipped. The breakfast was nothing short of stellar. Probably the best hot breakfast of a chain hotel that I have experienced. The staff went way out of their way to helpful and friendly. This is the kind of place that you will come back to everytime that you come to the Smokies. Beautiful views just made this location one that I would recommend everytime I had a chance.

POSITIVES: FREE Wi-Fi (although it lost signal several times) Great location - across the parking lot from Bass Pro Shops and within walking distance to several places to eat. Room was nice and clean. Front desk personnel were friendly. NEGATIVES: TV remote was a pain. Front desk personnel were not very helpful. One of the staff members was on the phone talking very loudly and with an aggravated tone to one of her family members during my check-in. When I booked my reservation I requested a standard room with one King bed. Upon arrival, I was assigned to a room with two double beds. After asking if we could swap rooms, I was told there were no rooms with King beds available. Thus, my wife and I had to sleep in separate beds - although they were very comfortable and we were well rested - it wasn't the way we wanted to start the new year. There were no black-out drapes in our room, so the room remained fairly bright - which made it a little difficult to fall asleep. There is only one elevator for the entire hotel. During high-traffic times, this was an absolute PAIN to deal with. After the first three times we had to wait an extended period for the elevator to arrive, my wife and I decided to use the stairs instead. Slowest working modern elevator I've ever had to wait on. Walls seemed to be very thin. We could hear kids screaming in the room next to us, and we could hear people talking in the hallway. OVERALL: It was not a terrible experience. However, I was very disappointed in this hotel compared to my previous stays with this same hotel chain. I would likely stay at the Fairfield next door next time around.
