Comfort Suites Cookeville

The check in clerk was very kind and helpful but our room carpet was disgusting. It felt wet and our feet would turn blk from walking on it so we had to keep our shoes on . Then the bottoms of my kids crocs were blk. And the pull out sofa was gross.

The breakfast staff lady was very nice and lovely to chat with! The mattress for the pullout couch needs desperately to be replaced. Our kiddos couldn’t even get comfortable on it.

The hotel lobby and breakfast area was clean and very nice. Our room smelled awful. Smelled of stale beer and dog. The two queen beds were clean. The pullout couch was so dirty!!! Stained and had mold on the metal. The bathroom had mold, the floor was dirty and the wall behind the sink was dirty, moldy and plain gross! The water pressure was very, very, very low. Took 40 minutes to fill the tub.(which I did not allow my kids to sit in. The pool was open, the heater was broken. Freezing cold and had a lot of scum and hair sitting on top of the water. Would not stay again!!!!

The facilities have seen better days. We booked a suite because we had 6people. The hotel did not have linens in the room for the pull out sofa. We called the front desk and asked for linens and they told us to come to the front desk. We went to the front desk and gave us linens but when we got back to the room there was no fitted sheet. We went back to the front desk and they said they were out. I asked for another flat sheet to use instead. I also asked for pillows for the sofa bed and they said they were out. Bathroom is very aged. Overall the families felt run down.

I stayed here while visiting family for the weekend. I like the central location, the safe environment and the quietness around the hotel and in the room. The pool was not open due to maintenance issues, which Expedia does not mention.

The whole reason I booked the hotel was the indoor pool for my kids and when I checked in I was told that it was in fact closed for repairs. My kids and I are not happy.

The beds were very comfortable and the place was relaxing. The only really negative thing is the indoor pool was actually not in the hotel. If you wanted to use the pool it was in the hotel next door at the Comfort Inn & suites. All in all it was a very good stay for me and my family.

Rooms were clean and spacious for our family of 5. Beds were comfortable. Checking in was not as good as the desk clerk was no where to be found for over 10 min. We checked in in the evening as we were traveling. She was not very friendly but maybe she had a bad day. The morning desk clerk was so nice and friendly!

Friendly staff, family oriented, hot breakfast ( the kids were making up songs about the hot waffles:-)

The room was nasty. Not sure when it was cleaned last. We found a half opened bottle of juice next to one of the beds. The pullout sofa bed had white mold/mildew on it when we went to pull it out. the white bathroom shower curtain had some unknown brown/black stain(?) on it and the caulking of the shower surround was lifting up. There peeling paint and an outlet cover that was broken so we had to worry about keeping the kids away from it. Also the bathroom door handle was so loose that it seemed like it was going to fall off as well as the towel hook. The pool water was cloudy so you couldn't see through it to the bottom and all the corners of the pool room were dirty. Not sure it if was just built up dirt or black mold. It was gross. However the lobby looked clean and the breakfast was good. I wouldn't recommend this stay to my friends.
