Baymont Inn and Suites by Wyndham Sturgis

Spacious rooms and common areas. Restaurant on site has pretty good food with minimal selections. The rooms are set up very well for families and traveling with pets, we had a king room. Would definitely stay there again and try other Baymont Inns.

Clean, friendly, modern accommodations. Our family stays in this town a few times throughout the year, this is our go-to hotel. It has been consistently satisfactory for each time we have stayed.

We booked here as we had a wedding to attend in the area. Didn’t check in prior to the ceremony as I wanted the staff to have ample time to do their cleaning job. Therefore it was a very late arrival. Our kids went ahead of us a bit to the room. I have always checked beds at hotels before sleeping for the last 10+years. Always. And never have I found a bed bug. Except this time our kids and their guests were already in bed asleep.(had a 2bed,& pullout sofa suite) So… we left the lights off and went to bed. This morning got dressed and ready to go and casually asked the kids if they checked the beds. So I pull back the sheet from my spot and see a bed bug crawl quickly into the seam of the mattress! I have been sick about this all day. Took everyone’s duffles and belongs out in garbage bags, spent time at a laundromat running everything on hi heat dryers(it took 3)and rebagging. Had to fumigate our 2 cars etc etc. WHAT A PAIN. HAVING SAID ALL THAT, initially I was going to be kind and alerted housekeeping by calling the desk so it could be discreet and get taken care of. We had to wait probably 20-30 minutes for head housekeeping to arrive. They were apologetic and said our room would be comped. But the gal at the desk… was very rude. She said only 50% compensated, to which I replied,(shocked)“50%?!! She says mam don’t yell at me! Oh lady… that was not a yell, you don’t know how calm I am trying to stay. All downhill from there I could go on but am out of room! Don’tstay!

The hotel was clean and well kept. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and nice. We were traveling a long ways with a baby and they were very helpful and accommodating.
