Pam at the front desk was wonderful. Super friendly and so helpful with ideas for the kids and called a cab for us when we were tired from shopping.

We came here for a family trip midweek. We got the presidential suite room 201 at tin Lizzie’s. We have 3 kids ages 1,3, and 6. We checked in at 3pm. We realized the heat unit on the one side of the room where the pullout bed wasn’t working. My husband went down and spoke to the manager whom was very rude and said “there is nothing we can do about it tonight- maintenance will come tomorrow. Didn’t offer to move our room. Mind you our one year old had to sleep on this side of the hotel room in his pack and play.

Room wasn’t ready when we got there so we went out just wondering around waiting for them to call or text us when the room was ready. After waiting for an hour I called them to find out room was ready (conveniently saying “we’re just about to call you”) When I finally got to the front desk to get the key, assistant manager, Hunter (looked like a high school kid) was on the phone but making personal conversation. While he’s on the phone STILL making personal phone conversation, he handed me over key cards. I had to wait for him to finish his phone conversation so I can ask other info about the hotel. After few minutes later, he finally figured out I wasn’t gonna just leave so he hung up the phone saying “I gotta go” Booked president suite but carpet looked like it hasn’t been cleaned for a month. Bathroom seemed updated but everything else seemed very dated. Couch cushions were sagging and chairs were worn out. Few good things I liked about the hotel was the breakfast area. The lady who was working there was very friendly and kept everything so cleaned and well stocked. She made up for my bad experience with the hotel. I did like the location of the hotel. It was end of Main Street so everything is in walkable distance. But the parking was across from the hotel and it was very small and tight if you’re not driving compact size vehicle.

When I reserved these rooms, the pool was available. I asked the management about the pool. I was told that the Hotel was forced to close it. I was not informed, you would think that the staff would inform you of any changes as it is part of the HOTEL! I asked for some kind of compensation for the pool not being open, and was denied. Our grandchildren were the reason why we stayed there. We were offered to go to Cadillac Jacks and use their pool, the weather was TOO frigid and cold to have our grandchildren go back and forth with wet hair, etc.
