Best Western Golden Spike Inn & Suites

We started our stay with a broken refrigerator. Maintenance came and fixed that. Then we realized we didn’t have hot water. Maintenance had to come fix that. We also had a toddler with us. So, I closed the door to keep him out of that area… and the door didn’t latch. Such a let down. After traveling all day, it was the opposite of relaxing. However, I will give credit for cleanliness and decent breakfast.

I didn't like that the pool area allowed alcoholic beverages within the area with children around.

Very clean place stayed 4 days with family ..only down fall is breakfast was good but basically the same meal everyday

We’ve staying multiple times. It’s convenient to everything and the staff is amazing. Only place we stay and it’s kid friendly.

This was a great base from which to explore the Black Hills, and a perfect set up for our family to enjoy some downtime. The pool areas are great, and the breakfast was very good.

Everything was more than we expected. The grandchildren loved the pool, the room was very spacious and clean and the continental breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this place when staying in the Black Hills area!

Our room was very damp all the time. Towels never dried out the carpet felt wet when walking on it. And it smelled very damp and musty. There was never towels at the pool so we would have to ask for extras and the staff were never very happy about giving us more. Our family of 6 had a 2 bedroom suite with 3 queen beds so paid the highest rate but with very basic amenities. It was nice to have a complementary breakfast every morning. The outside pool was very small. We had flies in our room the whole stay. We stayed for 4 nights and they took our trash and brought more towels once. Never vacuumed or changed the sheets. I just had to think of the stay as more of a camping style than being in a hotel.

We really enjoyed staying here! Our kids loved the two pools.

Overall the hotel was room was clean though bed was hard our grandkids really liked the pool the breakfast was just ok would be nice to have pancakes or waffles as an opinion

It has potential but old and room smelled bad. Pool was cold and work out room had no AC and small. The best part was the family style room that had 3 beds and a private room. That part made it worth it. Plus location was great. However, Not sure I would stay there again.
