Comfort Inn & Suites Near Mt. Rushmore

The setup in the room was perfect for our family. The property was very clean and easy to get to with shopping and restaurants very close by

Pool was fun, lots of amenities for the family, Xbox room was amazing. Staff was nice.

A family of deer would come to the motel every evening I enjoyed watching them plus the scenery around the motel was excellent

The room and hotel were great. I do have a complaint. My 8 year old daughter was using the hair dryer and it sparked, shocked, and started smoking. We immediately called for assistance. I was very concerned for my daughter’s safety as well as whether there would be an issue with the hair dryer causing a fire. We were told someone would be there immediately but yet they never came. My husband went down to the front desk to be told that no one came in because of the do not disturb sign on our door. I’m not sure why there was no knock especially since we had called and were concerned. I realize the hotel couldn’t control a faulty hair dryer but it was their reaction that angered me. No concern for my child’s safety. Then just a lot of talking in circles and excuses. No offer of anything to right the situation.

It was clean. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed our 2 night stay with our family.

The front desk is great. Our car was not ready from the shop until 2pm and they let us stay in the front lobby till 2pm. With 3 kids in toll and backpack it was a little too much to go anywhere. The lady up front even offer the kids something to watch on their tv until we ready.

The pool and hot tub area was nice for all of us. Clean pool huge and hottub. We had a 2 bedroom suite king bed in one room and 2 queen neds in the other room. Very clean room and breakfast was great. We liked this hotel the best of our whole trip. The kids loved the space and pool area.

Staff wasn’t outgoing but not rude or anything either. Usually hotels have the nicest front desk workers but I kind of felt like was an annoyance to check in. The room seemed clean. The breakfast was what you would expect. Probably not enough seating a lot of people had to bring their food back. The pool and hot tub were a plus for the kids. The hot tub had some weird green dirt on top of the water. The people before us said they told the front desk. We told the front desk too and reviewed a grunt. I don’t know what he is supposed to do with that info but I guess doing nothing was his plan. The area around was quiet. Quick drive to mt Rushmore. Deer came through the parking lot when we left. Liked that there was a fridge and microwave in the room.

It was a very good stay, very family friendly.

The facility and staff were great overall. Housekeeping missed some things on one occasion, but the room was usually well kept. Noise was a factor due to many families with small children who liked running up and down the halls and slamming doors, but that was on the parents, not the staff.
