Holiday Inn Ex Hotel & Suites Florence I-95 & I-20 Civic Ctr, an IHG Hotel

The rooms were dirty and the entire hotel smelled like drugs I’ve stayed at this hotel over 6 times with my family on the way down to Florida and never again will I stay there!!

I booked this particular hotel because it had an indoor pool and hot tub. So we got there at 5:30 pm and checked in and all of my family decided to go to the pool area to swim and relax before dinner. My wife and I got in the hot tub after 10 hours of driving and it was cold, the sign on the wall said it was checked at 6 PM and said it was 102 degrees. Well I bet it wasn’t 80. Hell the pool was warmer. Then we went up to the room to shower and the hotel hot water wasn’t working. I called front desk and told the lady and she was aware of the problem and said that it would be fixed. We went to dinner and was gone for a couple of hours and when we returned the water was cold. The bathroom sink was stopped up. The next morning I was able to take a warm shower, not hot but warm. After paying $180 I was a bit disappointed.

The hotel is conveniently located from I-95 and is clean with friendly staff. We checked in around 11pm and are a family of 5. When we got to the room there weren’t any sheets for the pullout couch so we had to call the reception and then go down to get the sheets. We appreciate for Covid that the sheets should be clean but for a family of 5 in a king bed room with a pull out couch the sheets could have been left for us as we obviously aren’t going to sleep in 5 in a king bed.

Traveling with family, this place was perfect. Breakfast was good, bed very comfy and all around a good place to stay!
