Bedbugs. There were none apparent when we arrived. We noticed one later in the evening. We pulled back the blanket and sheets and saw nothing more. Redressed the bed and before we could leave, saw another larger one. My sons and daughters were with me in two other rooms. I didn’t want to risk any of us carrying bugs home with us or being bitten. My family and I opted to leave. I used a cup to catch the two we saw and notify the desk attendant. She was very apologetic and told us the floor had recently been treated because management had been notified other guests on the same floor on other occasions had reported finding them. I asked for a refund and she said since it was booked through Expedia, the hotel could not issue the refund. Expedia would have to issue the refund.

Check-in went seamlessly. Clerk was polite and answered all our questions. Location was easy to find, and felt super safe for families with small children, such as ours. We would definitely recommend the property to friends and family.

Overall location is convenient and the suite is spacious and comfortable. However, you hear everything (motorists, people outside, cars driving by, etc). My kids and I were barely able to sleep through all the noise. The staff were not helpful and inattentive. The fire alarm went off at 4:50am and everyone needed to evacuate (single mom here with 2 kids under 10), turned out to be a false alarm. The shower head leaked and water didn’t come out properly. Although location and the room itself was ideal, we will not be returning!

We checked in at 11:11 pm, everything was great, no compliance. In the morning kids wanted chickfill a for breakfast so we check out and left to chick fill A, before leaving I wanted a cup of hot boiled water and their machine was loading and reloading and guy there was keep telling me that i have to patiently wait for it, but how long its gonna take he doesn't know. So thats my only one complain, that i couldn't get a cup of boiling water.

When we arrived there were 2 people outside of the building and one was trying to break the cigarette ash tray off the building amongst other things. So that was our first impression. We told the staff and the female seemed inclined to handle it but since we were checking in we didn’t go back outside for some time. This hotel is very outdated!! And don’t bother asking for anything if you’ve booked through a 3rd party company because they will deny any and all requests. We were staying here for our daughter’s graduation at Fort Jackson. This hotel is VERY CONVENIENT to gate 4 for the base which the fastest way to get on the base. Gate 2 is crazy busy. It took us 7 minutes to get to base from the hotel. The hotel also shares a parking lot with a chick-fil-a and a Waffle House so that was nice. Breakfast was good on day 1 and day 2 was…undesirable to put it nicely. The pool is COLD (and the size of a large hot tub) and we were there the first week in September when it was over 100°. They do have 2 grills to use and a fire pit. We reserved a suite since we had 5 people in our party. The room smelled terribly of smoke, the bathroom couldn’t fit 2 small children in it. None of it was like the pictures. We asked to be moved to the suite that was in the pictures that made me want to reserve here and we were denied because we didn’t book directly through them. We will not stay again.

Booked a room to visit my son at Fort Jackson for family day and graduation. Property is very close to gate 4 at fort Jackson. Front desk staff were great at check in. Breakfast was great. Was a great place to stay for our visit.

It was a great rest stop on the way to our family vacation. Overall it was great, wished it had more options for breakfast, it was limited. All kinds of restaurants walking distance.

We had been driving all day/night (over 20 hours straight) and booked at the Best Western Plus. Read all the reviews which were positive aside from saying updates needed. We arrived and the property is in a horrible area of town. Were immediately harassed by people panhandling. With 3 small kids and a luggage rack up top with our belongings for our next stop (although locked) we did not feel safe to stay. Still waiting for email to get at least a partial refund/credit.

I came down to Fort Jackson for my child’s graduation. The base is less than 10 minutes away. A lot of food places are walking distance. The staff was pleasant, room was clean, plenty of parking.

What a nightmare! After a VERY long trip, I just wanted to crawl into my hotel bed knowing I would need to be awake within four hours. Between Hotels.com and the hotel, I was refused checkin because someone somewhere screwed up and my family and I were made to pay the consequences. The woman at the front desk was abrupt and refused to do anything to help rectify the situation, leaving me to do all the work to fix a mistake I didn’t make all while all I wanted to do was get some sleep. I will NEVER do business with this hotel again.
