Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aiken, an IHG Hotel

Check on was horrible. Room was not Breton time way after 3pm making me late for the very family celebration I came to town for.

Overall great stay! Our only issue was we booked this hotel because of the pool and saw it was open when we arrived later Friday eve, so next day was a gorgeous hot day we planned to use pool and it was closed all day ! No clear explanation why, to say the least our grandkids were totally upset.

It was a great trip to visit the family and the hotel is always beautiful.

Stayed for softball tournement so had ALOT of kids and you wouldnt have know it was very clean quiet. Ben at front desk was EXCELLANT! Only the next morning at breakfast lady was rude she probabky needed help but foid was great and stocked.

I liked everything; the parking, the building, all the staff starting with the front desk, kitchen (awesome lady), cleaning crew (present every morning), the pool, the breakfast (delicious), our room (quiet, very clean & neat, nice tv programming, linens, furniture, fridge, microwave oven, everything was tops!) The bathroom was spacious and very clean, with fresh towels everyday. I have no complaints at all. Of course I would stay in again and again with my family and definitely am telling my friends and family about the Holiday Inn Express and Suites (@ Aiken). Thank you for such excellent service!!!

Paper thin walls. I was first checked into a first floor room next to the weight room. I was told it was the last room available. I heard weight drop every 3 minutes. It was horrible. An hour after I called and asked if anyone canceled so I could have another room. Apparently they did have more rooms…(sigh).. and I was placed into a larger room down the hall. The room seemed fun but again, I heard all kinds of noise bc it is next the breakfast area. Also, a baby was crying in the next room and bc the walls are paper thin I heard the baby all night. But that’s not all, at ~5:30am I heard water gushing in the bathroom. It was so loud I got out of bed thinking a pipe burst. Nope, it was the unit upstairs showering. I would never choose this cheaply made (construction wise) hotel again. On the plus side, the receptionist was nice but she put me into these 2 rooms knowing full well they were noisy. Beware!
