Holiday Inn Williamsport, an IHG Hotel

Nice hotel in the block of hotels in Williamsport. Parking somewhat limited but there is a garage across the street. Our room was nice. There were 2 queen beds which we always need when travelling with the family. We were just there for one night while passing through

My family’s stay at the Holiday Inn in Williamsport was just ok. The Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express are connected, but it appears that maybe the Holiday Inn section is older, as it doesn’t seem as nice. The parking lot is not adequate for both hotels. The Holiday Inn was not as clean as I would have liked. Our room was ok, but the bathroom had a rather strong urine smell as though it had not been adequately cleaned. The hairdryer was very old and kind of sticky. But, there was a laundry room, which was handy. There was also a restaurant and bar downstairs, and the pool area wasn’t bad. The hotel is in a convenient location for walking around downtown Williamsport or for driving across the river to South Williamsport, as well.

Checkin was a pleasure. She was very helpful in answering all my questions. The stay overnight also pleasant, besides on of the rooms had no towels. I was extremely disappointed in breakfast itself and the service inside the restaurant. Came down about 930am for our breakfast and there was only 3 other couples in the dining room. We were seated quickly and ordered. Our food didn’t come out until after 11. Our server mentioned there was an issue with the chef. To me it’s unacceptable, a hotel should be a place for travels to find some peace while on the road, not be given even more stress (especially with children). Most travelers are on time crunches. A more universal breakfast or more quick and go items may be better suited.

We did like the convenience/location. Easy to get to my family. Parking always busy. Having to park in back should be labeled so that you don’t park in the wrong spot. Also have a map of the extra parking besides saying the first 3 rows in the back. The room was nice. We stayed 7 nights and I did think that setting it up to clean every other day that they would. They did not. Overall our stay was nice. Every interaction with the staff was very pleasant. We would stay there again.
