The staff was warm and professional, especially given what appeared to be a high stress environment. I prefer kindness to perfection when I’m away from home, and I appreciated the care they treated their jobs with. The pool was wonderful and my kids loved it. There was an ADA lift down to the pool level but not into it, at least that I saw. The concrete would be a slipping hazard for someone without sure footing. The elevators were a bit cramped; our family of four took an entire one shoulder to shoulder with a cart, and during check out time it took twenty minutes to go one direction. So be aware of that. We also got a bit of a shock when my five year old opened the outer door of our floor, which happened to be right next to our corner room, and right next to his precious body was now a seven story sink hole in the form of an escape ladder which spanned the entire building without breaks… there was no lock on the door (it’s an emergency exit but those can also be fitted with alarms, ensuring no exit is unnoticed and people are warned to potential danger), and there was absolutely no device or safety precaution preventing someone from tripping and falling down that abyss, and what parent wouldn’t be chilled by that sight. I felt a bit betrayed by something so dangerous being so easily accessible. It’s difficult enough to keep your kids alive outside this hotel, what with traffic, roaming dogs and people going through crisis’ right outside the door. Mixed review

We were traveling with 3 kids 11 and under. This place is well suited for a family with youngsters. The free breakfast is a great value and the food is pretty good. There is a pool that is nice for young kids. The location is convenient.

Great location. So close to the waterfront. The hotel's stay was not optimal for few reasons. First, we had a race in the morning at 8AM and therefore no time for breakfast. While the hotel advertise a pack-and-go breakfast option, when we ask for it, the front desk told us that we were too many guests in our room to all get the option. We settle with sharing 2 breakfasts for 6 guests. The second is that the hotel lobbies were fun of half-clothed guests who were loud beyond the acceptable hours. There obviously was a rave party in the hotel. It would have been much better to put all these guests together and not have my family with 4 children between 10 and 14 to be mingling with these adults. The complimentary drink was a nice touch. The swimming pool is nice while the facility is a little creepy and seems run down. A fresh coat of paint would go a long way. We will return for the location, but we will not return with our kids.

I stayed in a king suite having one bedroom and a living room. It was pretty big and was quite accommodating for my 2 big kids and me. The area was convenient having many restaurants including food trucks. The hotel is kids-friendly. The sauna room was small that can fit 3-4 people although there were about 7-8 big kids packed in there when I was trying to use it, but I couldn’t use it. The exercise room was good with one rowing machine along with a bunch of other equipment. I was the only one using it at the time. The valet parking fee was $55 for one night but essentially covers 2 full days. The staff was friendly.

This hotel has zero entertainment for kids, the pool and area was not clean, rooms are dirty, no cleaning crew, no room service, the hotel is located in the downtown area where many homeless people put their tents up, the breakfast and complimentary drink area is in the basement where it is crazy dark and depressing with no windows. We travel a lot and this hotel was one of the worst! I would rate it zero if I could!

We came to Portland to visit a family member who had been hospitalized. The service at this hotel was EXCEPTIONAL! From the vallet person to the maid, EVERYONE was friendly and asked what they could do to make the stay even more comfortable. The 2 restaurants the hotel has are superb! Excellent food and again excellent service from all the staff!

The hotel itself is comfortable and nice inside, although a little dated. It is what's outside that makes it a never stay here again place. The hotel appears to be situated in an area of Portland that is full of homeless zombies. Did not feel safe at all leaving the hotel on foot until reaching a few blocks away. I would NOT recommend staying in this hotel, especially if you have children. My kids were terrified this morning when we left the hotel for the first time.

Housekeeping was terrible, called two twice for towels and toiletries in the bathroom - no response. We are traveling family of 4 only 3 towards provided. Room was huge but could have Veen cleaned properly. For luxury accommodation, beds could be upgraded to firm setting as they were sagging in the center. Breakfast was great, made to order omelette station and layout was great. They could add more lights to brighten the area.

This hotel is downtown in the middle of a homeless camp. Drug users were camped out in front of the door. Couldn’t even get in. Didn’t feel safe bringing my two kids inside. People doing drives everywhere. The entire downtown area is covered with drug zombies. Don’t stay here. And the hotel wouldn’t give me a refund when I refused to stay there. Wouldn’t even give me an exception.
