Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hood River, an IHG Hotel

Guests next door were smoking pot, we asked for a new room as we were traveling with children and were not accomodated. The room was extremely basic and not cleaned well. Beds were hard and old mattresses. Shower curtains were stained, old hair and lint in the shower, toothpaste on the bathroom door. We chose this hotel for the kosher breakfast options and there were none, breakfast was lackluster and very few options that were tasted awful. Hot tub walls are dirty and brown. We mentioned all of this to staff multiple times and they were unphased and did not try to help in any way. We would never stay here again. We have stayed in other Holiday Inns and never experienced a stay like this before.

This property was fine for a quick night on the road. Easy to access with several close by quick food options. The beds seemed old and were uncomfortable and loud. The hot tub needs significant rehab. The kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was Holiday Inn Express standard and met everyone’s needs.

Overall it was a good experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was mostly clean. I am a bit concerned because my daughter's sock ended up under the bed and I was disturbed to see the amount of dust, hair, and some unknown loose pills. Small children or service animals could have easily gotten to them. The cleaning crew just needs to take a couple of extra seconds to vacuum under the beds. The rest of the room was spotless. But the room was comfortable and provided a decent amount of space for my daughter's very large powered wheelchair. There was something buggy about the motorized curtains and we almost had to sleep in full view of everyone going through the Taco Bell drive through. It did eventually work though.

The hotel is fresh and pretty clean. The location is not great. It’s across the freeway from the river and is in a chevron parking lot. Walmart is down the street and Taco Bell and Dairy Queen are next door. The rooms are not quiet. The kids in the room above were running around and we could hear every footstep. The hall noise was also not muted in any way. We could hear every one who walked by. Ultimately I wouldn’t stay here again, but for others who don’t mind noise it would be fine.

Our family of 6 had a good stay. Main Bbds were comfortable, the pull out sofa bed wasn't great. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Pool was actually warm and comfortable and hot tub was hot so that was a plus. Breakfast was good with plenty of warm and cold options.

This HIES was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. They did not have any roll-away beds suitable for kids, so my son slept on the floor so he could be near his friends. I must research these things better I suppose. Otherwise a good stay at a reasonable price.

The staff is so accommodating and the hotel is clean and safe, perfect for families and quick stays.

We came througg for a one night stay on our way to the coast. The staff we dealt with was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the kids absolutely adored the pool and the breakfast bar. Was also super easy to find and close to lots of food and a walmart. Would definitely stay again

Walls are thin so could hear conversations in next room, we could also incessantly hear children running in the rooms above us in several hotel rooms - it was like a heard of elephants over and over - for the price, would have liked more sound-proofing

Our stay was wonderful! It was a part of a bigger trip and though it was pricy it was well worth it. The room was spacious and the front desk was polite and check us in quickly. The pool and area was clean and awesome to swim in. The hot tub worked great as well. My family enjoyed the stay in a spacious room that was also clean and smelled like it was clean. Will stay again when we get an opportunity!
