Courtyard by Marriott Portland Southeast/Clackamas

This hotel was the perfect location for our long family weekend, it's easy to access from the freeway, surrounded by several great restaurants and not far from the airport. The hotel staff was friendly, rooms were large and clean, and the bed was comfortable and the rates were quite affordable. Nice breakfast in the morning and full bar service in the evenings.

Well I saw the reviews of this place and I should have listened. This place was convenient for meeting a friend who lives in the area for dinner so I went ahead and booked, was mistake. I was with the kids and when I went into use the bathroom, I realized no one has cleaned the bathroom or took the garbage out, felt like I was using a public bathroom every time, was pretty gross. I would normally have said something and changed rooms, but I had my two kids with me, who said the beds where clean and it’s easier to just stay in this room. My reservation says breakfast for two, but upon checking in was told that this is not the case and that there is a coffee shop you can order from, to go, at an additional charge. Also, very loud next to the freeway, must have never upgraded their windows, you can hear whenever a semi truck goes by. I really don’t expect a lot when booking a 3 star hotel, but being clean should be a given, really one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

We always come back to this Marriott! We love the location, the bar, the pool, the rooms, the staff. We’ve never had any issues and our kids absolutely love it. We will 100% be back!
