Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland

I was under the impression that there would be a sit down, full service restaurant. There was not. In addition … it simply is a casino and the entire place, including rooms and buffet restaurant are full of cigarette smoke. We thought it would be a nice place to stop while traveling cross country. OT was not. The hotel room was not smelled of smoke, but was dirty. The staff were not trained well. It was grungy and chaotic. The pool was to be free of children after 10, but teens lingered and made it much less relaxing. The jets in the hot tub did not work. Never again.

Loved that it was so quiet in the rooms No kids running up and down the hall and no outside light shining in the room. Just wish they had a map of the property so you knew where everything was like the pool

More restaurants and add a game room for children staying with you!!!

I only stayed for one night with my boyfriend and infant. It was quiet and clean. The room was nice and really spacious for just a basic room with double queen. Gave my son plenty of room to crawl around and play. The staff was very nice and everything was quick and easy when I had to speak with them! I would definitely stay here again when we’re back in town!

This is a fabulous hotel! Brand New and beautiful! So clean! The pool is incredible! I love that you can get to everything without having to go to the casino - it's great for family stays! I'll definitely be back!

We stayed 3 nites for a family wedding and actually had 3 rooms. The front desk was very nice to put us all on the same floor and close together. The rooms are large and very nice. Our 1st nite was great and quiet but Friday there was a lot of noise and commotion starting about 3:30am! Saturday was fine until the person next door started talking on the phone loudly at 6am Sunday morning - walls are very thin. There is no housekeeping unless you are there multiple nites, they will bring fresh towels and extras if needed. They only supply shampoo, conditioner and lotion. A plus is a fridge and coffee maker in the rooms. If you leave a tip for your housekeeper be sure to leave a note or they can’t take it. The location was great for our wedding venue and not far from DT Ft Smith. The staff were all professional and friendly.

Friendly service kids loved the pool and everything was really clean

The Cherokee Casino & Hotel in Roland OK just east of Ft. Smith AR was a great place to stay overnight for my family of four for $125/nt which I booked on Expedia. Availability of other nice properties at affordable prices was scarce on a Tuesday night in June, so I decided to pay a little more to make the wife happy. It worked! Parking was easy. Check-in took a few minutes. The property was very neat and clean. We used the outdoor pool and giant hot tub (capacity for a couple dozen people) in the secure area. Keycard access only, which is also the case for riding the elevators. They tout how clean and sanitary they are. There is an aroma of spices in the hallways (maybe essential oils like sandlewood? smells like insense or cloves). However, the air in the rooms was clear of any scent. The rooms were clean and modern, the beds were comfortable, and it was very quiet so we could rest and sleep well. The casino adjoins the check-in desk. It was colorful with all the lights. We were not interested in the casino at all, but were not bothered by its proximity. There was no smell of cigarette smoke which I have observed in Nevada hotel-casinos. The downstairs ceilings are very high and the space is spacious. I observed diversity amongst the guests. Everyone we encountered was frieldly. The propery is isolated from any general retail. We felt very safe.
