The Douillet by Demeure Hotels

This hotel surprised me on how clean and nice it smelled! Great price! My kids loved the pool. Beds were comfortable

The entire hotel smells (it hits you when you walk in the entrance and again when you walk into your room), TV didn't work, there was a black boot print on one of the pillows, and the hot water in the sink constantly ran. But I was willing to accept all of that. My issue is with the pool. It was the only reason for selecting this property but when my family got there it was "closed for maintenance." It had been closed for many months. My children were very disappointed. It was late when we checked in so we stayed the night. We tried leaving the next day but stayed the next day to talk to the General Manager - Patricia. She told us there was nothing she could do since we paid through Expedia. Expedia told me they couldn't do anything for several days and to call them back later. We ended up paying for 4 nights but checking out the morning after 2 nights due to the issues. The property refuses to refund us the extra 2 nights and Expedia refuses to do anything saying it's up to the property even though I paid through Expedia and it's their listing that is inaccurate. I would recommend that no one ever stay here.

This could have been a very positive and successful experience except that I was given a room with a full bed instead of a queen bed AND the bathroom sliding door was broken so my family had no privacy at the most crucial moments.

Quiet, older hotel with basic comforts. Was great for our little family while we were in town. Good location for the airport and fairgrounds. Staff was friendly and helpful. Some of the hotel was a little dated and worn, but it was comfortable.

Stayed here for a softball tournament. First for the positives. let me say the staff was super friendly, the continental breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, and inside was quiet. Now for the negatives. Something has happened in OKC that has caused a HUGE homeless population in that area. People are constantly begging for food and money and making drug deals right out in the open. There is literally a homeless camp two blocks from the hotel. I forgot to roll up my back windows and some homeless guy stole my daughter's softball bag with everything in it. Hotel found some of the stolen stuff which I am grateful for, but I now have to buy a new bag and bat which will cost me about $1,000. As far as the hotel, i noticed a lot things that needed fixed or replaced. The pool had numerous broken chairs. I went to sit in one of the chairs and the seat broke causing me to fall to the floor. In our room, I noticed the towel rack was broken and the light was hanging down in the shower. The mattresses were uncomfortable. I could literally feel each and every spring through the mattress. For the price, the hotel was "OK". Would I stay here again?? To be honest, I would be very hesitant simply because of safety and security reasons. I would not feel safe letting my wife and kids walk any further than to the car. If you do stay here or any hotels in this area, SECURE YOUR VEHICLE AND DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR VEHICLE.

Stayed for 3 nights, pool was very cold but my kids didn't mind. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly.
