La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oklahoma City Norman

Upon arrival, I was greeted by someone who was less than thrilled to do their job. At 1:40 am I had to call the front desk because guests were running up and down the halls, slamming doors, hollering, laughing, etc. I get kids being kids, but unbelievably disrespectful at 1:40 am. Front desk came up to try to solve the problem, then it was somewhat better, but didn’t completely stop until after 3:45 am. We were just passing through so I’m sure you could imagine the frustration of no rest with a long drive ahead the next day. Again, I get kids being kids. But this was a level of disrespect I’ve never experienced. Shame on the adults in charge for allowing that nonsense to happen too.

We stayed at the hotel during a family visit Rooms are good The tub was clogged and drained very slowly. Breakfast was OK. Lack professional look at the front desk. I hope these will help improve the quality of the hotel and customer satisfaction

The overall stay was great! I only had an issue when I went to do some laundry and I wasted $5 when the washing machine was broke. I went down to the front desk and the girl that was there did not even attempt to help me. She just kept telling me to call the number on the washing machine. Needless to say I ended up having to take my clothes out detergent and all and leave and go into the city to find a washing machine. Other than that the housekeeping staff was amazing. We stayed during the Christmas week and we even had a baby so we had a lot of boxes and trash. They took every bit of our trash and didn't say anything. Overall I really enjoyed my stay. I will definitely stay again on our next trip!

Hotel and room were clean. Did not like that we had to pass through the smoking area with our children to get to the pool. The smoke and cigarette butts littering the area were very unsettling.

Outdoor pool was clean and nice. Close to interstate but mall and lots of restaurants pleasant staff. Wife didn’t care for breakfast options. Waffles and sausage was fine for me but would have preferred scrambled eggs too. Yogurt was all kiddie type flavor. Cold fruit water in lobby was nice

This property is old…rundown…much repair needed. No one ever answers front desk when you call and had to walk down there twice to speak to a live person. Lots of noise and little sound-proofing. Felt like other rooms occupants were in our room! Skipped the “free breakfast” just to leave that hotel. Yikes. Not much sleep that night. My room was adjoining to another with what sounded like 823 children in it. I’d not book it ever again.

Limit of 2 towels per room is very inconvenient. Shower was absolutely gross and needed to be torn out. They shower was piling up and no baths could be taken. Very inconvenient with a toddler. No room service. Very rude night time staff. Refused to give me more than two towels with a room a room that had 4 people staying in it. No one cleaned rooms daily and no trash service. Trash was piled up outside the building. Very limited staff. I wouldnt recommend this hotel. The worst hotel I have stayed in in years.

Was disappointed. The hotel needs an update badly. Very outdated and dirty. My biggest complaint was the breakfast. On Monday, staff began to clean up breakfast at 9:34 AM. On Tuesday, staff began to clean up breakfast on 9:17 AM. There were several people that came down looking for breakfast once it had already been cleaned up. This is an amenity that was paid for. As parents traveling with children, this amenity becomes a necessity. For this reason alone, I will not stay at this hotel again. Last time we stayed at the Sleep Inn in Norman and had a much better experience. I hope upper management sees this review and corrects it for future families that may decide to stay here.

I slept like a baby! We picked up some food from a restaurant about an hour away and the fridge was plenty big enough to store everything. The breakfast was better than most hotels and included hot and cold options. The bed was extremely comfortable and the facility appeared very clean.

The night auditor was great and super helpful. She helped me get a quiet room and extra pillows. Super nice. During my stay, I left my mask in my room because I was going somewhere I wouldn't need one. I had forgotten about the lobby. The second shift employee began disciplining me like a child and yelled all the way down the hallway. Later, I came downstairs for extra coffee (with my mask on) and apologized for not having it earlier. The second shifter gave me a second long angry lecture about Covid. When I told her "That's enough. Stop. I'm wearing a mask. It was just a mistake." She began screaming at me and told me she was going to kick me out of the hotel for not wearing a mask. I said, "I'm wearing a mask. Enough." She screamed all the way down the hall as I walked away. In spite of the super nice night shifter, I will never stay here again. The second shift employee is just way too agressive and its not worth my time. She's on a power trip and was just plain mean. I hear Best Western has great customer service. Next time I will go there. There's cautious and there's crazy. This lady was crazy and over the top.
