PROS: The service was great. I love the free coffee and tea 24/7 and the market had a great selection. I also appreciate how all those facilities are within sight of the front desk, which felt safe. I also really liked the Dove bath products in the room. Every single person on staff was lovely and they were the highlight of my stay. CONS: The place needs to be renovated. The sheets had stains and hairs from previous guests. Many sheets and towels were frayed. The clock was broken and the AC was very loud and barely worked to keep the room cool. By our last night, it was starting to make an unbearably loud noise so we had to turn it off and sleep in the heat. The walls are very thin so when a family checked into the room next to ours at midnight with screaming babies, you can imagine how much sleep we got. And in the morning, more kids stomping and screaming down the halls, so loud it might as well have been right next to me. You hear EVERYTHING. So if you want a private conversation in your room, you might as well whisper lol 9:30 also feels kinda early for breakfast to be over. Overall, for the price point, it was fine. We were able to get by. But I don't think I could have stayed enough night, especially with a broken AC. The staff might have been willing to help put us in another room but we were so exhausted from our trip that it would have been nice to just be able to rely on the room we got.

My teenage child and I had a situation to find a hotel in a pinch and we decided upon Avid. We had no knowledge of the property, and it was the best decision at the last minute.

Our son was having a baby at a hospital nearby. We decided to stay 2 nights, the first night was room 106, the shower flooded the whole entire bathroom, I let them know the next morning, they said they already knew the shower was like that and they already had it wrote up for maintenance issues. My husband slipped on the wet floor and thankfully caught himself by grabbing onto the sink. We just wanted to know why the room would be rented knowing the shower leaked like that and was a hazard. The 2nd night we was put in room 103, the thermostat wouldn’t stay on any heat, then it would be freezing and the air would come on. We kept messing with it, it would get burning hot or either freezing cold. Obviously we didn’t sleep comfortably because we couldn’t even have it on at all. And then we went to take a shower in that room, and there was short black hairs all over the walls of the shower. When 106 kept flooding we even had to get a ton of extra towels for them to give us to be able to walk in the bathroom floor because of all the water. The staff was very friendly and everything else seemed clean and nice. But to have a flooding issue in a shower that was a hazard was terrible. Not to mention the weather in Ohio you either need heat or air unless it’s spring time. We had none the 2nd night.
