Holiday Inn Express & Suites Youngstown West - Austintown, an IHG Hotel

I made a reservation for a quick winter getaway as the hotel has an indoor pool. Everything else was great and beyond my expectations. However the room was disappointing and fell short. The comforter had a stain on it since it was a white comforter, the stain stood out and was gross. Also the carpet had a big red stain on it. Which I get it kids, probably kool aid or something like that, but I feel like with a little effort or carpet cleaning, it would have come out. There was also some hair in the shower. I feel like for the amount of money that the hotel was charging I expected a nice clean room. This is the first time I’ve ever gotten a dirty room with this hotel chain.

Food from prior guest in the room, disgusting. The pool had no towels. Requested new ones, took 45 mins. Finally said forget it. 6 crazy teenagers with no parents ruined our family pool night. About injured our children rough-housing around. Out of toothbrush’s, toothpaste, razors at front desk. Asked for coffee which is supposed to be complimentary 24/7 and was told they don’t have time and will make more in the morning. No napkins in the breakfast area, said they are out. Asked for sheets/bedding for our pull out couch. Was told we had to come get them. Went down to front desk to get them and requested a pillow, said they have to bring one to our room. Have called 3 times, waited an hour and still no pillow. I have never been more disappointed in a hotel stay…. Truly ridiculous. One thing after another. Will never stay here or another Holiday Inn again.

Front staff was friendly and professional. However there was zero hot water, and kids running up and down the hall, squealing for over an hour. We counted 7 kids age approx 10 and under in one room. Obviously too crowded so they used the hallway as their playground.

We have stayed there twice and tried to get a day the following week and they was already booked. Clean area inside and out, staff very nice, breakfast good, we always try to get this hotel when visiting family on our travels there.

I guess "quiet time" is at 10 so DONT MOVE like AT ALL. We had our kods with us because it was the weekend, everyone knows how kids are. But literally we got called on so lich for the littlest things it SUCKED. Couldnt enjoy ourselves, if i would of known about this "quiet time" we would of never booked there to begin with.the pool is overpoweribg by chlorine smell it burns your eyes and gives you an instant headache.

Absolutely horrific; children above us running all hours of the night; several trios to front desk to complain with next stop calling the police; staff did nothing to stop noise; room on first floor by conference room that had a conference starting at 7:30 AM ON A SUNDAY! Seriously? Why do you have regular rooms by your conference room? Our room especially bathroom had first in the corners and looked like old mold they tried to cover up; mattress felt like it was sleeping in a box springs…no cushion to it all; hot water in am for shower had to keep bumping every few mins to hotter and hotter cause it kept getting colder and colder
