Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland Elyria

My family and I really enjoyed the promptness of the staff if you had an issue. You could tell that the Hotel was a little understaffed which led to some of the unsanitary issues that we encountered and the upkeep of the facilities but all in all it was a good experience.

The hotel accommodations were very nice. My room was clean. I think it had been recently renovated? The staff was very polite and helpful. It was noisy in the hallway at times due to guests slamming doors and wedding parties near my room. My pillows, duvet, linens and towels were comfortable and fresh. I liked the tv, multiple charging options and outlets for getting ready in the event that the bathroom was in use. The shower and toiletries were very relaxing and fresh smelling. I liked all of the counter space and the lighting was good for make-up application. The dining area/bar downstairs was nice, but it was not always staffed. There were some nearby chains and privately owned restaurants that had been recommended by the hotel concierge that were very good, but sadly this area is very depressed, abandoned/vacant and lacking life. I will be back for family reasons and I hope to return to Courtyard Marriott.

I and my wife typically stay at this location several times a year as we have child who attends Oberlin College. On this stay (room 220), adjacent room 222 had TV volume on high until 3:00 a.m. Notified front desk around 1 a.m., they called and knocked on adjacent room to no avail. Slept 2 hours this evening before early morning flight.
