Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Columbus Scioto Downs

We did find a couple things in our room. We had a piece of trash on the floor by the dresser and one of our family members found some tobacco paraphernalia stuck to the underside of the bunk bed. Yuck! We swam in the pool and enjoyed having everyone in the same room.

My daughters LOVED the bunk beds!! The beds blankets and pillows were nice quality and in great condition. The pool was clean and warm which my kids were in twice! Check out at noon gives the perfect amount of time to have a good breakfast and get out at a decent time. The breakfast was plentiful and satisfying, definitely worth the cost of the stay. We will be back!

Had a room with a giant bunk bed which was neat for kids. Wasn’t as nice as I was expecting with the review the hotel got. Bathroom was weird with a big sliding door that couldn’t be locked and was installed wrong as the handle from in the bathroom was on the side that went behind the wall.

Good for the kids and the stay, not great but not bad

Comfortable bed, nice couch, great desk area to set luggage and use as make up station. If we didn’t have the kiddo the casino looked nice. Would stay again. Only complaint was carpet was sticky/dirty in bare feet.

Let’s start with the positive. The room & beds were comfy & the breakfast was great! The staff we encountered were all very friendly. But… upon check in we found out that the room listed on Expedia is not what the room actually is. The lady at the desk did offer a free upgrade to their large suite but my boys were set on sleeping in bunk beds so we decided to stay in the small room. We much appreciated the service that she showed in attempting to fix the issue. In the room, the bathroom door was broken though and wouldn’t slide open or shut without lifting up and dragging it, which was not easy to do. & The pool area was very dirty. There was hair everywhere, which was sticking to your feet when walking around. It grossed me out and we only stayed long enough for the kids to splash around a few minutes.

We had problems our second day we had a knock on the door at 9:30 in the morning stating we had to leave because they wanted to clean the carpet. I was ready to hop in shower. Who cleanse carpet with a guest inside. They were supposed to notify us earlier but didn’t that was staffing fault. I went down and talked to a manager who was very kind and resolved the problem. Then 15 minutes later there was a big verbal fight right across from our room with a guest and the carpet cleaners f bombs were flying all over and I had to call security.if I had kids with me I would if been furious. I don’t like hearing that language and it lasted 10 minutes. We had no maid service because of covid but carpet cleaners could come in our room and you had no safes and we had valuables and a lot of money due to the casino. Other than that the room was nice, clean and breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the casino too.
