Comfort Suites Grove City - Columbus South

Great place to stay for traveling sports families. The only improvements suggested is to keep breakfast better stocked later in the morning.

Upon arrival I was informed the systems were down. I wasn’t able to check in until after 8pm. I technically didn’t check in then. Crystal the manager, gave the VERY RUDE clerk Mary a way to take our names down and issues rooms to us. I couldn’t remove my kids from the sensory overload with many other people in the lobby. To take a swim in the pool due to someone pooped in it. I stood in the lobby with my daughter and autistic son with many other screaming children for hours. Our room was clean and spacious. The shampoo bottle on the sink in the bathroom was half full. The establishment was A LOT cleaner and updated compared to the Comfort Inn next door (they’re in the same parking lot, I went to the wrong one first). We were exhausted from being at the softball fields all day for a tournament to have nowhere to go and rest.

I have stayed at this hotel 3vtimes in the past. This weekend, there were kids from a baseball tournament there. These kids ran up and down the hallways day and night they made so much noise. They kept slamming doors in the hallway. It was not a restful stay because parents were unable to control their children and hotel staff did nothing about it. It was ridiculous! I have children and I would never allow them to make that much noise anywhere especially when other people are paying their money as well.

The breakfast in the am was not prepared for the amount of people staying at the hotel. They never refilled certain foods and they still had an hour or more to go before they closed. Also to many birthday party’s with a bunch of kids swimming. They definitely were at max capacity.

This was a terrible stay for me. The front desk staff were unable to check me in because they could not figure out how to place a CC hold for incidentals. I was kept waiting in the lobby for 58 minutes before they finally agreed to give me a key to my prepaid room. I was tol dthey needed to make a copy of my CC so when a manager came later I could be "checked in for real." I found out later that day that the front desk clerk did not have authorization to access that part of the check in system. The only problem was lack of training and insufficient help at the front desk. On check in I discovered that each of the four drawers has a used bath mat or towel in it. I told they front desk and they said "they should not be there." No kidding! It was loud in the hallway and on the floor above us. Not teh fault of staff, but made for a poor night's sleep. The following morning I discovered the shower did not darin so I ended up ankle deep in water. Gross Lastly, I has asked for the manager to contact me on their arrival so i could discuss my check in experience. That did not happen. The manager came in, did whatever was needed, and left. My concerns were not addressed, and I will never stay at this hotel again. The location is great, but within their walls it was sub-par on every level.

We picked the hotel because of the indoor pool, at the time I booked it no notice was given just pictures of how great the indoor pool was , when we arrived AFTER I asked they said they pool was closed!! And a sorry about that? No discount nothing, that left with a pissed off Daughter and 2 Pissed off grandkids. These grandkids could not wait to get there to go swimming!! And all I could say is sorry about that!!

The suite was big enough for me and my family. We had a very quiet night felt very arrested the next day.

We had a suite which was beautiful and spacious. The bathroom was an accessible one with a huge walk in shower. The location was perfect, since my daughter in law and grandkids drive down from Cleveland to spend time with ua. And to top it off, the coffee was the best we ever had in a hotel breakfast buffet! The staff was also very accommodating and friendly.

Great place for our family to stay. Breakfast was good!
