Sonesta Simply Suites Columbus Airport Gahanna

I came to attend the wedding of my cousin. I was booked at a hotel across the street but when I arrived after driving 8 hours in the rain I was told that they couldn’t find my confirmation and had no room for me. I went online and booked at Sonesta and went across the street. The front desk was surprised I was there so quick so I explained what happened. They all were so nice and telling me how sorry they were that I was treated this way. This was not their fault yet they were apologizing for another hotel’s mistake. I checked into my room and quickly changed and joined my family for a rehearsal dinner. When I came back I again was warmly greeted and asked if everything was OK with my room. It was. The next afternoon I was dressed and on my way to the wedding and was told by the front desk ladies that I looked beautiful and to have a great time at the wedding. Warm greeting when I returned for the night and asked if I enjoyed the wedding. When check out time came I was asked if everything was good and told to drive carefully and to come back again. After the wonderful care I received I definitely will come back to Sonesta in the future.

It was definitely not what was seen online it was the perfect area for us we where close to family but it was not the cleanest Hair in the bathroom Did not come to clean the room

The room was decent, but service was trash. I reserved 1 room for a family of 4. We got there, and they only gave us enough towels and washcloths for 3. When we asked for another towel and washcloth, the front desk clerk refused and said we had to bring one back first before he'd give us another set. When it was time for bed, we realized there were no blankets for the sofa bed. We asked the clerk for a blanket and was denied. He told my husband, "I don't know what to tell you. There are no extra blankets." I ended up having to buy one from the store. The stove in the kitchen cooks at one speed: SLOW! The lady at the front desk when we checked out was really nice. However, I would never recommend that place to anyone!

I stayed 7 nights here when visiting family. The great things about this hotel are: 1) The full kitchen. Perfection! Being able to cook my own food was what really made the difference. 2) Location. It is really accessible via the highway, and easy to hop on 670 to downtown. Yes, it is on flight path for the airport, but I almost never noticed the planes. Was not a disturbance at all. Plentiful parking. Very close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. 3) Quality. It's been recently renovated. Everything in the hotel that I dealt with was in superb condition, from everything in the room to the fitness center and laundry (which is plentiful and free). 4) Affordability. It fit my budget. Enough said. The only ding I can give this hotel is that the rooms are not very sound proof. I heard a periods of banging around from next door and heavy footsteps above (I would stay on the top floor next time), as well as hallway noise. Luckily, this was rare and never really a disturbance just an awareness. I will be staying here again next time I'm town. It was perfect!

Great place for extended stay. Will stay again when visiting family there.
