The Lodge at Flat Rock

The Flat Rock Lodge was our family’s choice for our sister’s wedding. At check-in, my husband and I were warmly greeted by Taylor. In fact, other staff kindly acknowledged our presence. Since we came from many different states, we needed a place to congregate, and were delighted to enjoy, in particular, the dining area, the beauty and cleanliness throughout the hotel. Some healthy options at breakfast would be most welcomed for our next visit.

This stay was the best hotel I have ever been to! We met 4 staff there and all of them were the nicest people. They welcomed me and my family, they were so friendly with kids as well! The stay felt a lot more personalized, they went by family names and knew people checking in and out. They made sure our stay was way beyond comfortable and if anyone had any problems, they addressed them right away. The rooms were so clean and smelled amazing when walking in everytime. The indoor pool was warm and had a nice view. The breakfast was the best, alot of options and the manager himself greets people to make them feel at home. We wished we booked our whole road trip in that hotel, we also did not want to leave.

Better for families than just a couple, lot of kids, lot of noise. Breakfast is decent, fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes but how about some whole wheat bread or whole grain bread. Internet poor, cramped bathroom, beds too soft, full size fridge and kitchen area is a plus.

The Lodge at flat rock North Carolina was awesome. The staff were on top of their game. They were very friendly treated you like family. I would definitely be staying here again.

Nice and cozy place off the beaten path but close to many attractions. Not a bad place but nothing fancy. Breakfast was the same daily and not that tasty. Needed to ask for wash cloths as we are a family of four and they were only leaving two in the room at a time. Overall a solid place though.

This was the perfect get away for our family! We loved how cute and clean everything was as well as quiet. We will definitely be back!

Very nice place, family friendly and beautiful grounds. Taylor at the front desk was very nice and friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. Highly recommend.

Booking the visit, I was taken by the photos, and striking colors and design of the rooms. When we got there, the rooms were rich, and warm feeling. After settling in, I surprised my family by telling them to follow me as I guided them to the back patio, fire pit, and fireplace. We were all thoroughly calmed with a delightful evening, basking this the evening fresh air, and clear N.C. sky looking up at the stars enjoying our family time. Scott, the owner checked in with us to see if we needed the fire restoked, or anything, but we were good that evening. However, the next morning Scott again was there first thing bidding all 'GOOD MORNING"! He delighted in being present to and for all his guests. His passion and pride in His Lodge was projected onto everyone he met. This man and this place are working to be a 6 star hotel!
