Unscripted Durham

I love the rooms, cool design, and especially the bathrooms. Great shower, lovely toiletries, nice layout, sparkling clean, cool lighting, great ventilation, tons of towels. A/C was really comfortable. Why important? With dew point it was over 100 muggy degrees in Durham, but the room was comfy. Wish my unit at home was as efficient. Desk staff were great coming and leaving. Good walkable food choices close by with delivery available and I liked the Mediterranean restaurant on site. The only negatives were I couldn’t reach anyone when calling the main number to use the options for front desk and housekeeping, just voice mail. Also, the kind gentleman at the front desk suggested when I checked in that I stay in a room NOT facing the pool, but I was with younger family and wanted a room next to them. To be fair I was given options, but the parties at night were] extremely loud. I’ll still go back, just choose a different part of the building. My family members had fun.

Funky, mid-century modern, boutique hotel located close to DPAC and many restaurant options. Room was low-key with average amenities but the bed was soft and the noise level was low. Slept like a baby! Staff was super-friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were a bit vague and not available in advance. No coffee in room??? Overall a fine night's stay.

My wife and I loved the vibe of the hotel and surroundings. We were in town for one night to attend a concert at DPAC. We chose this location due to its close proximity and walkability to the event. They have a lot going on and I’m sure we’ll be back when we have more time to experience it all, including more of what downtown Durham has to offer. The free breakfast was nothing to look forward, but there are other options at the bar in the lobby. They do have a parking garage, which seemed a little excessive at $20 per day. But, for the convenience I think it was worth it. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return as well as recommend Unscripted to friends & family.

Location was great. Pool is tiny and mostly kids. The door to the pool was VERY loud. It slammed shut all night long and we got very little sleep the first night. The second night there was less, but still very loud when it did close. When we arrived there was no one around for five minutes that we could find. The room was nice and clean and the area around the hotel is great.

Our family had such a great time at Unscripted Durham. Staff was friendly and helpful, location was perfect for exploring amazing downtown restaurants by foot. Parking was easy to use and central spot was perfect for jumping in the car when we wanted to check out sights further away.

They opened the roof top pool to public and had DJ playing late into eve. We were there for family trip with kids specially for the pool and were really frustrated.
