Wingate by Wyndham Charlotte Speedway/Concord

It was very clean. Negatives..bathroom sink and tub drained slowly, almost at a standstill..hairdryer didnt work...when we got in the bed the two of us rolled to the middle, i think they needed a new mattress...and we got a room near the elevator, if you dont mind hearing the kids running off the elevator chatter this rooms for you...

Perry (night front desk clerk) was absolutely amazing! We are relocating to the area and ny family needed a room for the night while our new home was being prepared. After a long day of driving and frustration he was such a delight. He changed our room to better suit our needs and was so accommodating and friendly. He also shared some great local places to try. We felt so welcomed. The room was clean and in great condition. Great stay we will recommend to family coming into town.

We had a problem with the toilet acting like it was clogged as well as the bathroom sink! We had a junior suite room and couldn’t watch TV from the bed. Room was very clean

Overall, I gave a rating of 4. Upon checking in, I was greeted and checked-in from a gentleman and he was so kind and warm. He was very helpful and made sure to give us tips on the area. I hate that I can't remember his name(Terry maybe?) but he was a gem.We stayed in a junior suite with a king bed and sofa bed. The room was quaint and neat. The refrigerator was disgusting and I refused to use it. Thankfully, we brought a cooler. The shower was hot and definitely a plus after a long drive. Overall, we made it through our stay and it was quiet, with a hot simple breakfast, and positioned in a good location.

The bed was too high, totally impossible for me to climb on it, I needed to borrow a step stool from my grandkids to be able to access the bed because the hotel didn’t have a solution for me. The hotel said they provide Wi-Fi, however they gave us a phony number to call to have the wi-fi working. The other complaint I have is that I requested the person on the front desk to cancel another booking I had for December and she said she did. However when I checked, my reservation was still valid, then I canceled it through the Hotels.com. Not really a good stay this time and at this location.

Beds were uncomfortable and extremely high off the floor. Had to manage for children and older people.

The most uncomfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The A/C only blew stale, humid air. The housekeepers were loud in the hallways and had young, loud, very young kids with them.

The property was very clean and the staff was very professional and kind.I would definitely stay here and recommend my family and friends to stay here as well.

The breakfast was very good, with a variety of choices. We were here visiting family in the area, so we would get breakfast and then head out to visit. We then got in late at night, the room was comfortable for sleep. Love the black out shades for sleep.

Very friendly,attentive service desk guy. Asked about our plans and gave great restaurant suggestions at check in. Also, made check in very easy, and informed us of everything we could expect and the applicable amenities. Our room was gorgeous! We could tell there was a little cosmetic work done to the ceiling but overall, our stay was top notch! Concord Mills is right around the corner as is every eatery you could dare to imagine! Check out was as easy however, I had a card change and was charged 2x before getting my account credited the following day. A little scary but it worked out. I'd recommend breakfast somewhere besides hotel (not a lot of carb free options). Had a good workout, good variety of equipment, however, no privacy-if that's your thing. ice machines worked on 1st and 4th floors! Hotel had vending machines with good choices and had Pepsi and Sundrop drink machines which we were very thankful for! DMD💯!!! Lastly, the hotel had working cameras...we felt safer than some of our previous stays. The parking lot was clean as were the elevators and stairwells. Not one sketchy person encounter or wiff of weed.definitely got a family vibe. Thank you Wingate by Wyndham 🌟✨🌟✨
