We were very disappointed with this room. The bed was old and too soft, the toilet was so old it looked like a baby toilet, it was too low with no grab bars to get out of the seat, the ice machine didn’t work, the sink was clogged, the rugs were old…The people and service was the only good thing about this place. I don’t know if some of the rooms have been updated but on floor 4 everythjng was old!

I overheard one family saying as I checked in about their room not being cleaned. On my hall another said the same thing. Also on my hall was random trash and two large piles of dirty hotel laundry on the floor. All night! There was a family reunion and people were drinking and smoking blunts everywhere. One man passed out drunk between the double doors. I'm traveling with my four year old daughter so I try to avoid these situations. This had a cheap motel feel not what I wanted.

Let me start by saying at check in, I was charged a 12 dollar per night parking fee, which was NOT told to me prior or I would have booked a different hotel. Next, I was informed that there was a 150 deposit that was due although I had already fully paid for my reservation and again was NOT notified of any additional charges. I was told that this was a hold and it would drop off in 5-7 days after I check out. This would have been nice to know beforehand. Next, it was hot and muggy in the elevators and hallways. Then, we got to the room and there was trash already in some of the trash cans. There were not enough towels although I booked for myself and 3 kids and had to go down to retrieve more. On the third day of our stay, we had no clean towels and I sent my daughter down to get some. She was told that someone would bring some up to our room. However, about 40 minutes went by and we still had no clean towels. So, I went down. The lady working the front desk told me that there were none behind the desk to give me. I requested to speak with someone in charge. A man came out to speak with me. He was very rude and had a nonchalant attitude. He also stated that there were no towels at the desk and that he didn’t have access to any and that this was a housekeeping issue. He was not even trying to rectify the situation and he was a manger/supervisor. Finally, the front desk lady went to retrieve some for me. I will NEVER stay at another Sonesta again. Terrible!!

We had a 5 night stay and they didn’t clean the room once. Room wasn’t in good condition. Everything was worn out at the hotel, I wouldn’t recommend for any family’s.

My flight was significantly delayed during my recent trip, and I was concerned that my hotel room might be given away. However, when I called, Isaiah was accommodating and assured me that my accommodation was secure. The following day, Tay was there to answer any questions that I and my family had. The room we stayed in was not only clean but also very comfortable. Based on this experience, I would choose to stay there again in the future.

Asked for adjoining rooms for our family at the time of booking. Get to the hotel for them to tell me that they were booked and it wasn't possible. Our two rooms were split up on different floors, separating our family.(THE KICKER- 1 of the rooms had an adjoining room door) Also, one of the rooms has a broken lockset and we weren't able to lock our room.

Sanitation was just not up to standards here. The lobby of the hotel appears nice and clean. However, upon checking in, the hallway leading to our room had dirty linens piled up in the hallway and a dirty (like visibly soiled) infant crib. It was appalling. Our room had a half drunk bottle of sweet tea and trash in the bins so it seems as if someone forgot to clean up our room. We checked in during evening hours so it was surprising housekeeping had so many dirty linens piled up. We explored all day, got back to the room after midnight, and only then did we realize, the sink wasn’t draining. I brought it to the attention of the front desk upon checking out in the morning who immediately interrupted me and said “since you booked through a third party, you need to contact them.” Pretty disappointed in her response because I thought they’d care that they had us stay in a dirty room with a sink that didn’t drain. It was gross.

We checked in at 4pm today and checked out by 10pm because of how bad it was. We were put on the 1st floor right by the pool, the amount of yelling and screaming was ridiculous. There was a dog in the room next to us that literally barked for almost an hour straight. Before we left the place was a zoo, people in and out everywhere, smelled like pot HORRIBLY! the bathroom door had no knob on the inside, the lock to the outdoor was practically rusted to the point it would have been so easy to break in. We tried EVERY single ice maker on every floor and none worked, expect the 17th floor one. With 3 small children, we felt extremely uncomfortable and not safe.

I booked this hotel thinking, its a 4 star hotel with like a 8 something out of 10 rating, pictures look nice, heated pool, sounds great for the kids! No. Looked nothing like the pictures. Pool was not heated. Poolside bar was never open. Restaurant had very limited options. Hotel was in a pretty bad part of town. Rooms were tiny and furniture was rough. Double charged our debit cards for multiple rooms and deposits after i had paid everything online. Staff at the front was nice but maintenance guys were not. Ended up having to get an extra room because they were so tiny. It was super disappounting, we had come for my sons 14th birthday party to go to Carowinds, and couldve hotba 3 star hotel that was much nicer, and would have, if we werent looking for rooms for 8 people on the same floor.
