The Mayton

Great hotel. Very clean. Walkabout dining and bar options. Had a huge room that was nicely furnished. Would definitely recommend it to friends/family.

While waiting for the checking in my wife and I smelt gas leak at the fireplace in the library. We immediately told Julia at the reception but she did nothing. We told he 3 times after waiting and waiting for someone to come and take care of the gas leak, but no one came and Julia repeated some one will come……we were very scared about our safety and almost left the hotel bc of the safety concerns. At next day we checked the fireplace, the gas leak was still there. Julia was not a friendly and professional person and I have to say after living 25 years in this country, this was my first and worst racist experience I ever experienced. Julia needs to be trained for this job. She left a very bad taste in our memory about Mayton, Cary and North Carolina. We will never ever go back there; also will recommend friends, family and coworkers to choose a different place. Julia is not for for this job and needs to have a therapy how to treat people with respect. I will follow up with the management that these horrible things never ever happen again. Shame on those who hire evil racist, arrogant and inconsiderate people like Julia. She damaged the Mayton’s reputation.
