Comfort Inn & Suites Watertown - 1000 Islands

The check in was at 4pm and imagine my surprise when we got there at 4:30 pm after a long trip with kids and we were told that the room was still dirty. The lobby has only 4 chairs and 2 were already occupied. The lady just said there's nothing I can do for you as long as the room is dirty. 0 apologies, 0 offer for chairs, so we had to stand until the room became available. We came on a Sunday and left on Tuesday and our room and bathroom never got cleaned. Nor were we provided with clean towels. And since we were there to shop we left the room at 9 am on Monday to come back at 9pm to an unclean room. The kids were so tired, I didn't feel like calling the front desk. Needless to say never again

We did not really enjoy our family overnight stay here. The walls are very thin and not soundproofed. My daughter was so excited to use the pool and we were shocked to feel it was WARM water and the ceiling heaters were blasting hot air into the pool room. It was a hot day out and we were looking forward to a refreshing swim. (Not the case!) We asked the staff about it and they told us they didn’t know what was going on but that ‘someone was working on the pool’. The next morning we went to check the pool again to see if it was cooler - nope! Same thing. Even WARMER water and super HOT room like a sauna! We returned to the desk to inquire again and were told by a low-energetic staff member that “I’ll let them know” as he stared at us knowing he was likely not going to be mentioning it to anyone. The free breakfast was ‘okay’. Can’t really complain when it’s free. I have to say, the beds were pretty comfy and the rooms were clean. We tried all afternoon and evening to get the A/C to work. The thermostat will let you set it as low as 19.5 degrees C, but it never got lower than 22.5, and was usually 23/24. I had overheard another guest asking for a fan earlier to the front desk staff, so I finally called down at 10:30pm because we were so hot and laying on top of the covers. I was told there were no fans left. (That tells you something!! If the hotel has no fans left because they’re all being used by other guests whose A/C units clearly weren’t working either).

Cons: - pool closed - large gap under room door making all sounds inside and out easily heard - toilet broken upon arrival, still not flushing correctly after fixed by maintenance - bathroom sink leaking on floor - Wi-Fi down at random points - shower curtain is too short and doesn’t stay in the tub to keep the water in, water gets everywhere all outside the tub Pros: - staff was friendly and helpful when needed - room was big enough for the family of 6 - washer & dryer - great amenities

The pool was out of commission (really the only reason we booked a hotel so that our kids could swim) the continental breakfast was just cereal, yogurt, toast etc (it looked like there might be more sometimes with a large metal serving dish but it was empty and unplugged when we got to breakfast at 9) There was little to no hot water, I had a shower and it was warm at best The hotel staff was very kind but for the price we payed, it was a little bit dated and we felt frustrated at the lack of things we were feeling should be included

The room was clean friendly staff. The pool on the other hand was out of service. At check in i was not notified i had to take my family across the street to the hampton to swim

The hotel itself isn’t bad- it’s in a nice location close to tons of dining and shopping. The breakfast was good with lots of options. It was mostly clean, although it was evident my shower hadn’t been cleaned because there was hair everywhere… but as a night shift travel nurse, I wouldn’t be able to stay here again. It was very loud. Lots of slamming doors and kids running and yelling through the halls. I didn’t get much sleep.

Comfort Inn & Suites is a great place to stay, we were there to explore 1000 island, it was a family trip and hotel is right on the highway and just 30 min far from most of famous tourist towns. Hotel room was clean, silent and staff was good. Food was really good and have many options. We booked multiple rooms and best things that we got rooms which were interconnected as it best fit for big family.

Good hotel. Very busy, unfortunately was on floor with screaming children late at night. Two extremely slow elevators. Overall, however, was a decent stay.

All staff were very friendly and helpful, the kids had a blast in the pool and the breakfast was excellent!

It's a great hotel for families if staying for a few days, The tv's need to be updated since they are old and the control remote does not work that much. Staff was great and friendly, the mattress on the sofa bed also needs to be replaced.
