The Statler Hotel at Cornell University

My family visited Cornell from Boston on a two days/one night trip from 7/2 to 7/3. We have four people: my 88 years old father, my husband, my son, and myself. I have booked two Superior Rooms with View, each with 2 Double Beds. The view was amazing and the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The check in/out process was fast and the staff was friendly. However, the next day when we came back to Boston my father realized he forgot his trousers hanging on a hanger in the hotel room and his house keys were inside the trouser pocket along with some cash and two id cards (one of them was the Tuft Medical Center id card). Immediately I called the hotel and explained what happened. The person who answered the phone in the housekeeping department was very nice and polite. He checked the lost and found and told me no one had returned the items. He also checked the room but couldn’t find anything. We were all very disappointed. My father travels from time to time and this was not the first time he forgot things in the hotel (sometimes he could retrieve the missing cloths back but other times he could not). At first he was sure that this 4-star hotel would find his forgotten things but unfortunately that did not happen. He was convinced that if he did not have the money in his pocket he would have a better chance finding the trouser. Anyway, I left my contact info to the nice gentleman and hopefully someday a miracle would happen and we would see those items again.

if you went to cornell, this hotel will make you feel good about it. if you did not, you'll feel welcome and ALMOST like you went there. the rooms are comfortable, with nice decorative touches and while not extravagant, definitely up-to-date on design. I LOVED the aveda toiletries - never seen those at a hotel before. and the service was excellent - we called to reserve a crib for our baby, and found it in the room upon arriving, with a blanket and a toiletry kit for him too. nice. valet and reception staff all very courteous - cornell hotel school students, by the way. the one thing that was not great was the noise that carried from the hallway through the door. overall a great stay.

There is no place more convenient than the Stadler Hotel when visiting children at Cornell.
