Homewood Suites by Hilton Ithaca

The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was kind. My family and I had a great time during our staying. Breakfast was delicious as well.

I came to Ithaca for family. I stayed 3 nights. I enjoyed the pool, breakfast, suite, and friendly personal.

Most places will let you check in as much as an hour early. This spot did not, in addition to being told our room wasn’t even ready an hour before check in. We had to sit in the lobby and wait. We weren’t notified it was ready, but had to wait on line again. Not a super big deal but with tired kids and local friends waiting for us, it was a bummer. Mattress was super hard so we had a hard time sleeping. Other than that the rooms were fine. Nothing special, just clean and neat. Daily breakfast was actually a pleasure with as many choices as they had. The pool (indoor) was fun for the kids but disappointing in that it is only 4’ deep and rather small. Hot tub wasn’t very hot, but again, kids had fun. Had the pool room to ourselves for like an hour. Cleaning staff and breakfast staff were great. Location is ok, about 12-19 minutes from the sights. Nothing really immediately around the hotel of interest. Seemed to be a quiet spot. Hotel had the feel of a normal spot trying to up its game, confirmed by the presence of Holiday Inn labeled towels in my “Hilton” hotel room lol. Was probably cheaper to stay back then.

Perfect for our family short getaway. Lotions, soaps were very nice, rooms smaller than appear on the website but very clean. Lots of hand sanitizers around; masks optional but staff wore them and we appreciated that. Standard breakfast offerings with plenty of choices.

Beautiful room with a very comfortable king-sized bed. I only spent two nights so really didn't take advantage of the kitchen facilities, although I was pretty impressed by a full-sized fridge. The location of this place is ideal for visiting family at Kendall. The breakfast buffet is fine. It's not Holiday Inn Express, but they are getting there. Better pastry options and better eggs and they will be there.

Awesome place for family!

It was a great getaway spot and we’ll be back for sure - it was a little tough to be in the pool, it was honestly the coldest hotel pool I’ve ever encountered, like an icy lake, frigid! But the hot tub was super warm and many times we had it to ourselves which was a treat. The pool maintenance guy was so great, the checkin folks were lovely. Any down side to the stay was a desire for a bigger gym (and stricter rules about kids and people who don’t use a gym just playing on the equipment and running wild like it was a playground, that was a shame), but there’s a planet fitness nearby so that was easy. We love staying at homewood suites with the kitchens which is easier for families with picky eaters/kids. It was a shame though that the breakfast was a little haphazard- would’ve preferred yogurt without candy cereal like trix, just plain yogurt and fresh fruit is great. Everything felt safe here, it’s not a super high end hotel, it’s perfect for a longer stay, a getaway with Ithaca to explore nearby! We’ll be back but honestly will have to bring wetsuits to venture into the pool with our kid!

Lobby is comfortable and clean. Nice place to hang out and play games as a family. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Front desk people were friendly.

Visiting family for Thanksgiving and decided on staying at the Hilton since we had stayed there before.

First ding against this hotel was they had a water leak which spanned over five days and how they chose to fix that was placing a garbage can underneath the leak . Our room was on the third floor and the entire third floor was at least at 80° in the hallways . Keep in mind this is a humid upstate New York summer . The stay was horrible from the minute we walked into the room. We actually booked two suites with an adjoining room since we were a family traveling. Both suites were dirty. Body hairs on the floor of the bathroom and soap scum on the bottom of the tub basin. I actually ran to target to get us all shower shoes. If you like camping this is the hotel for you. If you’re expecting a comfortable stay look elsewhere.
