Tioga Downs Casino and Resort

We visit this property when we travel to see family. The casino in small but for us it is just the right size. We enjoy the restaurants & love seeing the horses working out on the racetrack.

The property was clean and everything in working order. The altar was friendly and had just the right amenities when traveling with 2 small children.

it was great for my family, and I got to gamble.

Loved the Casino and Buffet. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Pool and spa was fun for the kids.

This hotel always has dusty rooms... I've stayed a few times and each time the rooms are dusty and the mirrors are always streaky which leads me to believe they don't clean very well. However, with that being said, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the pool and jacuzzi aren't very big and the outside pool and slide were not in operation on the way we stayed not sure why there was nothing posted. The food on the property is good and average priced, we did not utilize the casino during this stay because we had children with us. So other than the dustiness and streakiness everything else was suitable.

I stay here on my way up to Buffalo to visit family. A nice halfway place to stop. Never disappoints. Very clean, nice food choices. Casino is small but adequate.

ÇONS: Food was left by prior occupant in room fridge. Room fridge was quite noisey when trying to sleep. A.C. on in hotel guest room corridors when it was 27 degrees and snowing outside...why? PROS: Surprisingly large complex for where it is located. Nice sized and decorated room for under $125 p/n all in. Breakfast buffet was certainly better than a long drive to a diner or a Denny's, and considering hotel voucher a bargain for $5 a head. Cool to watch exercise runs of the horses while eating breakfast. Small but engaging arcade for kids. SUGGESTIONS: Have a door card drop box at front desk, so guests need not stand in lengthy line to check out.

Firstly, Mark checked us in and was a delight to interact with. He is one of those special customer service people who actually talk to you and not at you. He made me laugh at check in more than once and made me feel welcome. Shelly helped us add an extra day to our stay despite the hotel being full and did some rearranging to accomodate us. I really appreciate the trouble she went to so we could syay overnight on the 4th and see the fireworks. The indoor pool needs a scrubbing there is green stuff growing on the sides above the water line. The youth in the outside pool really made the pool unpleasant. There is nobody monitering the pool outside and I kept getting bumped and hit with a football with no concern or apology from the youth or their parents. I am a 62year old grandma that wouldnt expect to not be able to be safe in the swimming pool. Since its a casino I was a little supris.ed that there were so many youngsters at the hotel. I like children but not crazy about how they were permitted to run wild at the hotel. With so many youth at the hotel there should be some security to make sure they arent ruining the enjoyment of the adult guests. The fireworks show was really spectacular. We enjoyed watching it from the picture window in our room. We enjoyed watching the harness racing We did change rooms because we were originally given an ADA room which we didnt request or need and the bathroom door had no handle or cut out making opening and closing the door difficult.
