This hotel is very basic. Very small and narrow rooms. The bed is comfortable enough. The AC is very powerful and probably the coldest AC I've ever experienced. The place has a cool industrial vibe to it, but probably not great for first timers to NYC or for families. It's a 12 - 14 minute walk to public transportation in a sketchy industrial part of town. But it is the most affordable hotel in the area, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, and they have a cool rooftop restaurant for breakfast. Perfect hotel if you are coming in for a short visit and don't mind taking Lyfts or Ubers

We loved staying here, easy parking , simple, yet clean room, great accommodations. The staff was super. We were here for our child's surgery. When the surgery got changed at the last second they were so accommodating. Serena was super helpful and friendly and Amran took great care of us, so we could focus on their healing.

It’s a nice hotel but seems expensive for the quality of the room. It’s a little confined for a bigger family.

The reception staff are very helpful and professional specially Mandy and the manager Luis, we took a room for family, the hotel is basic but clean and price is acceptable. The only negative is the train sound which run 24h especially if ur room is front room. Location is ok if u have car. Parking is easy and available. Breakfast is basic but ok for 11$. We did enjoy our stay for 5 days.

The hotel was extremely basic. Room was so small. No closets. AC unit was hard to adjust and ran the entire time and the curtains wouldn’t open. One day I left my room late because I had twisted my foot the day before and the room was never cleaned. Upon departure, I was contacted repeatedly by the maid that checkout was at 11. I had overslept and was getting ready, as well as thought I had requested a late check out. I was contacted 3 times. Mind you, the room was tiny, so I can’t imagine my slightly late checkout would have impacted the room cleaning. Front desk wasn’t pleased with me and weren’t afraid to show it. I know it’s business, but so is treating a guest (who paid for their room) like a guest. You can’t just say it’s the New York way, either. Apparently, it was an issue. The hotel was farrrr from a subway station and any kind of amenity to eat or entertainment was nowhere to be found. I don’t recommend for a family or easily scared individuals. It was inexpensive and basic and small, if I hadn’t already stated it.

I can't say enough about the staff at this property. My wife and children stayed there this week and the staff went above and beyond anything you could imagine to make sure they had a great stay. From cancelled flights to another hotel canceling a reservation without notification and due to a late check in and taking half of the fee anyway, their trip had everything go wrong. But with a same day booking at the Feather Factory, they accommodated my family wonderfully and truly showed the kindness of the human spirit. Simply based on an absolute wonderful staff, I would never stay anywhere else in New York and if they did not have rooms available, I would try to plan my trip around their availability. Job well done Feather Factory staff. Job well done.
