Holiday Inn Express West Point, an IHG Hotel

Clean. Comfortable beds. Pool for the kids. Pretty decent breakfast. Would recommend.

We were very happy with hotel. It was near our destination. The workers were very kind and ready to give us what we need. Overall I was very happy. And I recommend it to my family.

Our family went to Bear Mountain and Woodbury Commons over the Columbus Day weekend. Stayed at this hotel after Bear Mountain after visit the Oktoberfest festival and walking around the lake. It is less than a ten minute drive from the park. Clean, two full size beds, TV, coffee maker, chair, hair dryer for a total of four people came out to $190 on a Saturday night. We ate at the BBQ place next door to the hotel for dinner. There were no other restaurants close by and we got lost trying to find the Main Street with restaurants a few miles down so we settled on the BBQ place but we loved the food so everything worked out. They closed fairly early on a Saturday night; I think it was at 9pm. The next morning, there was a good continental breakfast. And then we went our way to Woodbury Commons Outlets, which was about a 15 minute drive. Be aware that if you go shopping there on a busy weekend, you may have to park at another lot and take shuttle bus to Woodbury. Pay attention to signs on the highway, which will alert you about where to park. I didn't go to West Point but the hotel is only a few minutes from there. I would recommend this hotel.

Location to West Point is the only reason to pay the extra price this hotel charges for a Holiday Inn. Our reservation was canceled by "corporate" according to the front desk staff but they got us a room thankfully. Fortunately we tried to check in early. Otherwise we would not have had a room as they overbooked. Rooms, breakfast, TV (nice & large), comfort were all ok. Often holds large sports teams playing USMA so ask if you don't like college kids running around.

My wife and both our kids stayed here in May just before the USMA Graduation. We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Staff was great, friendly and made us feel welcome. the rooms were spacious. Actually bigger than many hotels in the area so that was nice especially with both kids. What was a reason to stay was the pool. My 3 year old loved it, he wanted to go in everyday. We stayed for three days visiting West Point, and other areas, great outdoors area near hotel. Oh yeah the breakfast at the hotel was also plentiful, and good selection. Would definitly recommend.
