We came for an anniversary trip, and we were absolutely thrilled with the service, the friendly and attentive staff, the location, and the comfort of the room itself. From the attendants Theodoro and Henry, to the front desk managers Michael and Walter, to the fantastic housekeepers who not only made the beds, but vacuumed the carpets, took out the trash, emptied the ice buckets and offered recycling service in the room, the staff was phenomenal, and was what made the visit so special. We were taken care of from the moment we set foot outside to the moment Henry got us a cab and got our bags packed up as we checked out. The location can't be beat if you're looking to be in the center of the theater district; we came to see plays, and were able to walk to each theater within 5-10 minutes, and only had two subway stops to Madison Square Garden for our concert. The last thing I would say is just another comfort measure... the room was incredibly spacious. During previous stays in the city, almost all of the hotel rooms have felt claustrophobic, but this one had plenty of space to move around, even for our non-suite reservation. Will absolutely come back here again, especially when we're ready to bring our kiddos! It seemed like a very family friendly environment, too!

We loved the old fashioned NYC feel of this hotel, but the best part was really the size of the room - so spacious for a Times Square hotel! I loved having a walk-in closet & well-lit dresser area. Walking distance to all the places we needed to go to. The staff were all very friendly & accommodating, & shoutout to Teodoro who remembered my & my family’s names as he greeted us at the door & helped me with my toddler stroller every day. Would stay here again next time I’m in NYC.

Staffs were nice and attentive. Location was excellent; easy access to subway, walkable distance to time square, and was located in the middle of all the tourist attractions. However, they need a renovation; due to the old carpet, my kid was constantly congested and coughing during the whole stay.

We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Michelangelo Hotel in New York, but our experience fell short of our expectations. To begin with, we would like to highlight some of the positives. The majority of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the location was excellent, in close proximity to the theater and Times Square. Furthermore, our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable, with nice linens adding a touch of luxury. However, the hotel itself looked dated, and despite upgrading to the junior king suite, we found the decor to be similarly outdated. The furniture appeared to be worn out and in need of replacement. Additionally, the toilet flush barely worked, and we were surprised to find no wine glasses in the mini-bar. Although we called down to the front desk to request some, they never arrived, and we had to go to the lobby to ask for them. We were told that wine glasses should have been in the room, but perhaps they were overlooked by housekeeping. Furthermore, the provided bath products were of poor quality, and there was no coffee or water in the room, which was unexpected given the high cost of our stay and the star rating of the hotel. We paid around $650 (CAD) for the night, excluding breakfast, and an additional $90 (USD) for parking per night. Since we were there for 26 hours, we were charged for two nights of parking. Overall, we cannot recommend the Michelangelo Hotel in New York.

Perfect location, super comfortable beds, large room with a great view, the friendliest, most helpful staff, clean and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back! Special thanks to Rajiv, Aaron, Nick and Walter for making us feel like family.

My family stayed here for 5 nights in July, 2022. There was a hiccup with the reservation prior to arrival, but a quick contact with the hotel manager (Marco) resolved it completely without any issue. The location was fabulous, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel - while older - was clean, charming, and had good sized rooms. We will definitely return the next time in NYC.

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Always with a smile and kind words, really got the day off to a nice start. The hotel is plush, could use a tweak here and there (we had torn drapes and the shade on one window did not work), nothing major as we thought overall the hotel was wonderful and you cannot beat the location. Also recommend The Majestic Diner on 50th, amazing service and food!! We spoke with the owner a few times, it’s a family business and the pride they take in the diner shows. If you go, say hi to the owner he’s a great guy.
