This property is average. We stayed there for work. I brought my Team to Montgomery for training and decided to stay in Middletown because of all the restaurants and shops. Everything was nice until the last morning. The clerk, who is extremely rude, accused my entire Team of doing something that just wasn’t true. Now, we are proud to live with the “Extreme Ownership” mentality. If we do something, WE WILL OWN IT! This woman apparently came into the hotel to work a 1/2 hour to hour prior to us returning to the hotel our final evening. Now, either she missed it, or it happened after she arrived, but someone got sick on the stairs by the side entrance. Well the next morning she accused a couple of my Teammates of doing this. She said she “had it all on video” well, that would have needed to be edited because it wasn’t us.
You know, I could give half a damn about something so childish. Then she proceeded to throw one of my Team out of the hotel.(We were checking out anyway) But her attitude, along with the was she treated myself and the rest of my Team was unacceptable. The manager got involved. She seemed to have a much better head on her shoulders. I told her if she could show me anyone on my Team acting inappropriately in any way whatsoever I would pay a $500 fee to clean. (They said it was $150) But they didn’t have any proof. In the meantime it’s 6:30 am and there’s another guest stumbling around drunk carrying a 12 pack acting obnoxious right in front of everyone!

The hotel was overall great. However, there were two things that I found irritating/inconvenient. First, the indoor pool was freezing. We stayed here for my kids to swim, but my toddler's lips turned blue so we didnt spend too much time swimming. Second, there were no hooks or other methods of hanging our wet towels and swim suits. Like, NONE. Not one hook on the back of the door or wall. We had wet towels and bathing suits strewn all over the place. The lobby area was very spacious with lots of seating options for eating or just relaxing.

My family and I stayed for a couple nights. The staff was very helpful and nice. We enjoyed the breakfast they had each morning. The room was clean and my kids had a blast. The indoor pool was also clean and they made sure there were clean towels for you to use once you were done swimming. It is also near a mall and different places to eat. I would recommend this hotel and city to anyone. We will definitely be staying here again!

Was one of the most unpleasant stays I have had. With the exception of the evening manager (she was wonderful) the stay was not good.
I rented a room with two queen beds which had 4 bath towels but no place to hang them. We stayed for a few nights and needed to replace towels daily since e we could not hang-dry. Also, all of the lights are on motion sensor so FU if have small children and did not bring a night light. Then the smoke detectors are positioned to flash brightly into the eyes of the people sleeping closest to it, first time I came across this issue but seems to be poor design of sensor. The peep-hole for the entry door is installed upside-down. The water fill station in the exercise area needs a new filter, has been in need of one for several days..showing red after passing through yellow. The A/C is on a sensor too so I always returned to a hot stuffy room. The gym and pool hours (9-9) were uselessly short, never had a chance to use since we did not stay at the hotel all day…why not to 2300, or 24/7 since there is no attendant/lifeguard anyway.
Had two rooms while there, first had ants and then second had food marks & crumbs on comforter like someone dropped some pizza on the comforter. Also, had stunk stench in our room since the constant overflowing trash can attracted all kinds of critters. Showers need anti-slip stuff!
Evening staff person was very understanding and replaced comforter immediately…she was great, hotel sucked.

Moved from another Wyndham property to LaQuinta as an upgrade due to bad weather. Was looking for a nicer room since I would be spending the day indoors- the room was great but the cable channel selection was awful!!! No movie channels, no TBS, no AMC, no NatGeo, just local networks, cspan and espn. The crappy Hotel 8 next door had a much better channel selection. 2 Thumbs Down to the executives in charge of cable programming choices at LaQuinta. Note: there is also no kid friendly programming either (Disney, Nick, Cartoon Network)
What makes a great hotel is the little things and LaQuinta is close but still lacking.

Hotel was well maintained and clean. No smells and staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. Only 2 towels in the bathroom for a family of 4, and few chairs at the pool. Breakfast was lackluster. 2 kinds of sesame bagels, bread, instant oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, and waffles. It wasn’t busy a little after 7 when we went but coffee was just about gone. Overall though, a great hotel and would definitely return.
