This place is unique and worth a visit, but its worn. Bed was hard and toilet seat was broken. The restaurant is closed because they "don't have a cook and has been closed for awhile". Staff was friendly. The nostalgia of staying in a castle was fun for the kids, but not worth the cost.

Unique boutique hotel "castle" with armor, paintings, and items from a bygone era. Easy access from the expressway with nearby restuarants. Rooms were very comfortable with updated bathrooms, TV, beds. Very nice family owned hotel which was an armory and meticulously renovated with charm. Great stop on our roadtrip.

This is a great place to stay. Always a friendly and helpful staff, and the junior suites have enough room for visiting with family, and for our son to play with his cousins while we do. We always look forward to our visits here.

My family and I stayed in a jr suite room was very clean and beautiful!resturant was good very limited menu and weirdly ran out of the only dessert they had when the place is reservation only so felt they should have been prepaired, they have quiet hours well that's my complaint from 10 pm until 230 am the ppl above us children running ,stomping, yelling crying was inane!!finally stopped at 230 and started again at 6 am!iam assuming since they were the only children there that they were the ones running all over the restaurant we came to relax instead we left exhausted zero sleep

Amazing building! We had the suite with four bedrooms and it was perfect for our family. So much room for us and we could have done so much more. I wish we weren’t just stopping for the night.

Absolutely amazing stay! The castle was beautiful both inside and out from the dining room to our room, and the staff was beyond accommodating. The decor and rich history of this castle is unmatched by any other place to stay. We absolutely will be returning, and can’t wait to show our friends and family this gem of a place.

An amazing find! Stayed in the family suite which was lovely. Castle itself is beautiful, staff friendly and it was a refreshing change from your average hotel!

We stayed here as a cheaper alternative to a hotel in Saratoga Springs and I'm so glad we did! The hotel is a perfect mix of modern, historic, and quirky. There's so much to look at! The staff were super friendly. The dining was the only disappointment, as our stay didn't coincide with the restaurant being open for dinner. (That said, definitely check out Lorenzo's next door for dinner. They have wonderful Italian food.) They give you little prepackaged breakfast things, but you make them yourself. There's a little cafe across the street, but they don't open until 9 a.m. so we wound up driving for breakfast. Amsterdam is seeing a bit of a revitalization, but they're not quite there yet. They need more eateries and attractions for families within walking distance of this hotel and they'll be well on their way.
