We were in town for a family wedding and wanted to choose a hotel that was not corporate cookie cutter. This property delivered in spades with its colorful motif, bold artwork and hidden speakeasy. The bed was comfortable, and it was relatively quiet for a throwback motel. My only complaint was the load and not very energy efficient air conditioning, which we needed to keep on because it was 95 degrees. If would be perfect if they replaced the dinosaur ac with some sleek modern quiet units.

Hotel Zazz was a fun place to stay at. The kids enjoyed the pool and the large size chess set. The popsicles were also a hit! The front desk staff were fun and polite. The colors were bold and popped out. It is also located next to a bunch of great restaurants and other fun shopping.

Supporting family owned businesses helps keep communities vibrant and this hotel’s story is great. Hotel Zazz has the history of Route 66 with updated rooms and fun character. I like learning more about the business on TV in the room. We slept well and were able to easily take the bus to Old Town and walk to the UNM area for dinner. Didn’t try the heated pool or popsicle happy hour, but everyone was welcoming and available by text too. We had booked another hotel that was mysteriously “overbooked” by Expedia - by I’m really glad we got to stay at Hotel Zazz.

I found Hotel Zazz via Hotels.com after my red-eye was delayed for a few hours and ultimately canceled. I called and immediately spoke with the owner and GM, Sharmin, who was able to accommodate me despite the late hour. I received speedy and consistent communication from the friendly and attentive staff throughout my stay. They were even able to provide a late check-out for me when my rescheduled flight was delayed yet again. I love the story behind the motel -- Sharmin's parents owned it in the 90s and she ended up remodeling it when she took over. The decor is fun and colorful, and I believe all the artwork is by indigenous mother/daughter teams. The specialty tea in the rooms was even created by Sharmin's colleague! You can really feel the love and family ties here. The rooms are clean and sizeable, with comfy beds and powerful AC, an in-room fridge and coffee maker, and free parking. There is also a spa, a speakeasy bar, and a pool on site that I sadly wasn't able to take advantage of, but it looked wonderful. The motel is located in the bustling neighborhood of Nob Hill with many food and shopping options nearby (Little Bear Coffee is a 10-minute walk away). The property is also right across from the bus station. Even my Uber drivers (unprompted) praised the remodel of this hotel and commented on how clean and safe it is compared to other motels on Route 66. Good for families, couples, and solo travelers. 10/10 recommend!

We LOVED this hotel and the staff! Our overnight in Albuquerque was among a 10-day, 4-state road trip and this-- BY FAR-- was our favorite hotel of the entire trip! There were 10 individuals in 4 rooms-- a family of 4, a couple, kids, and a grandma-- ages 11 to 74! Colorful and vibrant, the rooms were exceptional-- as was the accommodating and incredibly friendly staff. My kids loved the pool. The adults loved the ease of walking down the street to a delicious dinner. The location along historic Route 66 was fun-- all the neon! PERFECTION! #LiveColorfully

This property is amazing for solo trippers. I loved the charm of the units and the uniqueness of all of the spaces. I wouldn't take children, though they are welcome. The vibe is more of an adult playground. It felt safe and inviting. Will be back. Oh, and the manager is the best!

Our experience well exceeded our expectations. The staff was so nice, kind, and accommodating to our children. We felt like the red carpet was rolled out for us. There are so many great spots for photos and so many great surprises. A lot of thought has been put into making this place an experience.

Added multiple fees they never thoroughly explained. Corrected certain items and was still charged. Bartender was rude and drinks were gross. Floor by the pool is painted with incorrect material and creates a slipping hazard, proven by a family member falling.

Glad we got to have a nice 2 night stay in your fun zazzy motel. Loved all the unique art and designs all about. Although very loud on saturday night thru entire night till 4am, that could have been curtailed a bit but kids will be kids suppose. Really enjoyed the place though.

When I arrived to check in there were a ton of people in the lobby, I was told there was an event but we wouldn’t be able to hear it from our room. This was not true. We could hear the music and people talking screaming and laughing until 2:30 am. I have two small children and none of us were able to sleep. It was a terrible stay. We left at 7:30 am just to get home and sleep. This place needs to decide if they want to be a club or a hotel.
