Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ely, an IHG Hotel

It was a nice hotel but kind of upset when the cleaning service barges in at 8:30am to clean the room while the whole family was still asleep. The kids were a little upset.

My favorite part of the hotel was the lobby. Our family could gather to socialize and play cards without being crammed into a room. Decent breakfast with a good variety of foods. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly.

So they don’t like to make people aware of a 250$ holding fee BEFORE check in, so they took 550$ out of my account leaving me with nothing and 5 kids to travel with.

Not only did I have a belligerent woman threaten to damage my car (when she was only at the hotel to take her kids in the pool) but I was woken up at 12:40am by a screaming drunk couple outside my door. I was put in a room directly across from the elevators that was extremely loud and also directly next to construction in the hotel that made me feel exposed to chemicals due to the big fan pushing air from the construction to my room. I’m extremely unhappy with my stay here. I have been here many times before and this time was awful. Between all that noise and the train horn blowing I barely got any sleep. The prices also increased significantly for no reason and there were bugs on the walls in the hallway.

My family and I always stay in this hotel when we are heading to Az. Newer hotel, very clean, free breakfast and friendly staff!
